It's not that for me. Nicki's a new artist so I don't really give a fuck, the thing is rappers like Wayne getting lazy and going the pop route. He fell way the fuck off, it's like he's just going in the booth, without listening to the beat or anything and just going with whatever comes out of his mouth. It's a complete flip flop from as little as 3 or 4 years ago. How does he go from holding down Cash Money as the only artist for half a decade and calling himself the best rapper alive, to the shit he is now?

Im not really upset at Wayne for going pop. Because when he was rapping about selling coke, everybody was like "You've been a millionaire since you were 14". Do I hate the transition? Hell yes. And when Wayne was spitting dope shit, there was always the "Who writing Wayne shit" conspiracy. I think Gillie & Drake were writing shit at one point. As a whole, cash money abandoned that grimey southern sound. They abandoned the fans that made em "Cash Money Millionaires"

I was 10, I understood. Maybe it was because my Mom played "Me Against The World" everytime she cleaned the house. Maybe because "California Love" is the greatest anthem to date. Maybe because when people commented on how black I was after getting out of a pool during the summer my response was "The darker the flesh than the deeper the roots".

Drake grew up in the suburbs, with a white mother who probably wasn't bumping any rap, and lived in a different country so he was a little bit separated from the scene.
