This shit was classic in the Katrina era in New Orleans. And your right, Lil Wayne saved alot of niggas out here man.

Niggas stayed droppin classic mixtapes if thats possible after Katrina... Carter III was terrible but from 05 to 07 he put in work lol

The drought mixtapes were ill, but da shit dat takes me back are da sqad joints. His early shit was ill(kesha, biznite, etc), but he officially became my favorite rapper when he started droppin dem sqad up mixtpes. People give 50 cred for startin da mixtape game, but weezy started doing his shit around dat same time. I remember mothafukkas going crazy at school eretime a sqad up joint dropped back in 02/03.

........

LOL@ niggas saying Wayne will never run the game, when this nigga was running the game for 3 years straight without a album... this nigga was killing the mixtape game, this nigga was on every rappers, singers and their mama's features, even on the same rappers singles for like 2 years consecutively and got a multi-plat album at a time when niggas were struggling to go GOLD.

Wayne was the best that that time, any nigga that is actually looking at the reality of it, knows this nigga was the beast.

To be a nigga who had weezy in my top 10 since 03/04, its tough to listen to what he's been puttin out post no ceilings. He still puts out heat, but its far inbetween. When I saw da nigga reachin da status he was approachin around 06, I really didnt like dat shit. Cuz I knew there was gonna be a bunch of bandwagon mfs, and then it would ultimately turn into what it has now. Where you cant click on ANY video, without da top comment saying fukk lil wayne or lil wayne ruined hiphop. Da video aint even gotta be music related, it could be da video when hulk hogan, nash, and hall formed da nwo and da top comment gonna be "fuck lil wayne" lol. shits crazy man.

lmao cosign this, the top comment on damn near every video will be some shit hating on Wayne lol

Dope thread. You have to realize Wayne has mastered the art of reinvention. He "gets it" in terms of staying relevant. Say what you want but at the end of the day Tune been consistently eating and remaining at the top of the game. Has he dumbed down his shit some? Maybe yes, Maybe no. Wayne is on another level now. He is this generations Jimi Hendrix and won't be appreciated until he is dead. Period. One thing you shouldn't think though is that he don't got "it" no more. He still has it. He is just doing what he wants to do. Hell, he has even told you he will "Be back soon". Tunechi!!!

Mula Krazy. YMCMBizne$$.

So sad to see Wayne resort to the garbage lines an flows he's been usin lately. I aint went "well dam....." at a Wayne line in bout a year and a half and that was on Inkredible

After the Carter 1 dropped dude snowballed, listening to these songs now and then listening to what he has been putting out lately something is seriously off......this has to be more than him just trying to appeal to a bigger audience.
