They are competition for higher end Headphones ie Bose, Sony, etc. They sound better than your $5 pair trust me. Its like the difference between payless shoes and Nikes. Yeah they both shoes and you can walk in them, but seriously which are better? Everything about the headphones are better. The build quality, the sound, etc..
