The hype over Lil Wayne being the best rapper died down over the years, only stans would say other wise and keep thinking he's the best rapper out. Wayne fell way off over the years, maybe that time in jail will bring him back to the Carter 2 days.

Carter III was a 3/5 album at best for me, I bump Carter I & II more than any of his new stuff. The quality just dropped like a rock in water from II to III. But I wouldn't say he's overrated, I think he's capable of some good shit but lately it's just been average at best.

I said Wayne after 07' he went down hill. I've always liked his mixtapes from back then. I've never doubted Wayne's mixtapes. I prefer them over his albums other than C2. I ain't tryin to discredit the shit he's done before C3. Like I said earlier, I thought he was a beast pre C3. I'm just talking about right now. Why is everyone so quick to jump the gun, calling him the best rapper to ever touch a mic? Cause I don't see that. It's not like i'm shitting on him or anything. I hope Wayne can get back on that grimy shit with C4. I want to see the old Wayne back and not this muthafucker who has spit nothing but bullshit over the past couple of years. I like Wayne, I respect what he's done before all of garbage he's come out with lately (C3, Rebirth, etc)... I believe he can do so much better.
