PART 3:
Rapping over a vintage 90's Classic "Simon Says" by Pharoh Monch. Kim answers "Roman's Revenge" with a diss record torn from the Classic era's of the 80's and 90's. The song which clocks in at 5:30 minutes attacks Nicki from every angle you can think of. After listening to the song and analyzing the lyrics. I will give the full breakdown of "Black Friday".
Lil Kim - Black Friday
Angie: People are assuming that even though you say it's not about her, they say "Roman's Revenge" is about her.
Nicki: You know she really jumped out the window, what I learned about this business is you got to learn to pick your fights.
Shut The Fuck Up
(Lil Kim begins the song as Monch did on his original song by replacing "Back the F*ck Up" with "Shut the F*ck Up")
Who the fuck want war, fed ex beef straight to your front door, it will be a murder scene I'm turning Pink Friday to Friday 13th. (Jason Breathing). Aiight You little Kim Clone Clown, All this bafoonary the shit stops now. Time for you lay down I'm sick of this fraud, I put hands on this bitch like a spa massage, We all know how you got your last name is what got your job, you's a put together gimmick something like a collague.
(Kim begins the song flipping Nicki's famous reference to the horror Classic "Friday the 13th" by saying she will turn Nicki's album release week to a horror film. She calls her fake and a fraud for biting her style. She says she basically was having multi-sex partners and that her whole style is a gimmick of other peoples styles including Kim's)
Since you putting on a show you gonna get the applause, Clap Clap, lift your frame like a fuckin garage. Yeahh, this hood shit you a Drake and built for, this the shit that other bitch almost got killed for. I'm still counting what "hard Core" generated, I bet my shit keep spending like synicated, You corny broad I'll leave you bloody like adminstrated, Your hot air ass should of been deflated, this isn't a championship fight, I've been the greatest. You see the fact is what you doing I did it, but lame trying to clone my style and run with it, that's cool I was the 1st one with it. You a Lil Kim wannabe you just hate to admit, I'm the blueprint you ain't nothing brand new, check your poster and videos ya'll always be #2.
(She then calls her an actor whos putting on a show, Nicki did go to the school of arts in NYC. She then talks about how Her and Drake aren't ready for real street ish and that Foxy was almost killed the last time someone beefed with Kim. In a direct reference to Nicki telling Kim to get on "Billboard", Kim reminds Nicki that she's still making money off her debut album which was released 14 years ago. She compares herself to famous and classic television shows that still get played years after their released by saying her albums are like syndicated. She refers to the rumors of her using butt pads by talking her "Hot Air Ass". She claims that she's not on her level so this isn't even a championship fight. She talks that she created Nicki's Blueprint. )
I seen em come I seen em go I still remain, sweety you are on your 14th minute of fame. I'm over 10 years strong and still running the game, cut the comparisons I'm in the legendary lane. Fighting for a Spot, Child Please i'm solidified, with my hands tied you couldn't beat me if you bitches tried. Either your high or sippin that shit that Wayne on, I get top dollar for whatever my name's on. Go stick your head in a tornado, BRAINSTORM. I drop bombs, Flex, NAPALM. Black and Yellow will pull in your ghetto jezepies when I step out posted up in my stellitos. Pussy so pink like my kitty would I saying hello, if I whistle they pistol whip you in all 5 boroughs. Come from Brooklyn I'll be everywhere confortably, And Who pumped you and told you to come rump with me. You the type to run the mouth, and then run from me, I poppin off in your hood with no company. Come on Queens ain't showing you love, I was there the other night poppin bottles with the thugs.
(Kim reminds Nicki of her OG status and jokes that she's only got 1 minute left in her 15 mintues of fame. That she should be compared to Kim cause of Kim's Legendary Status. Responding to Nicki saying Kim was mad she took her spot, Lil says her spot isn't up for graps. She says Nicki is druged up like Wayne and that her brand still compands top dollar. She then takes the Big Sean/Young Money flow and flips it on Nicki. She reponds to Nicki saying she will have someone in BK to off Kim, Kim brags she's got love in every borough as well as having shooters in then all that will jump at a simple whistle from her)
You like Washingtons (1's) heffer I'm Benji's (100's). You gotta a buzz right now I had a frenzy, Oh yea welcome to the fam findy, you need to stop your not hot you a burning match, that means the end near soon, copy that (Roger That), Oh I see they really got you gassed like I'm a thing of the past, better slow down DUMMY you bout to crash, stay put hoe i'm giving you a bath, the mama doesn't hand and i'm coming for your ass, who you think you getting past, I see right thru you your whole shit is made of glass (Nick Minaj "Right Thru Me" snippet), I draw back I'm a brooklyn thoro bitch, rep for my borough bitch never been the type that had beef try didn't settle shit, I ride out till the wheels fall off and my desert ease blast till the last shell off. The whole team all I see is a bunch of weirdos. You's a airhead bitch, SCARCROW.
(Lil Kim compares Nicki to the 1 dollar bill while comparing herself to the 100 dollar bill in reference to her appearance in the Classic Song, "All about the Benji's". She talks about Nicki's fame almost being up again and makes references to her song "Roger That". Kim claims that she's infact Nicki's mother in this rap game and makes fun the whole Yong Money crew. She also flows over the "Right Thru Me" beat.)
Ha, ain't nothing old but my money bitch, Ha, this is strong liquid assets, Benjimans my daddy you Young Money Bastards, You and Diddy sorry bunch of swagger jackers, I mothers you hoes I should claim you on my income taxes, Bobby Fisher in the flesh, taught by the greats (Biggie & Jay), so on my next move I'm yellin checkmate. I smell a massacre, I'm Charles Mason you don't stand a chance with em, Jeffery Daumer you looking like lunch to me, I bout kill all you bitches like Ted Bundy, lead your hair red like Peg Bundy. Your halrious thanks for the laughs, your garbage so I'm taking out the trash, you shit on me, come on baby girl, ain't enough X-shots in the world, your a nuisanse you probably steal my new shit but you can never fuck with me so check it up, DUCES, all around the world I ball like a ball team, I stack chips call me Mrs. Raustien, Tricks are for kids silly rabbit your my offspring, Kim more anticipated then a Lebron Ring.
(Lil Kim puts a stamp on the diss reminding Nicki of her great career and legendary status. She also again flips her horror movie references and instead talks about real serial killers as a metaphor of what she will do to her.)
So there you have it, I think this will go down as the female "ETHER". At 1st I didn't want to go there but reading the lyrics on paper make the diss even harder. Kim wasn't animated, Kim didn't switch voices. She talked to Nicki in a calm voice as if a Mother was schooling or punishing a child. She countered Nicki's threats of Lil Kim's death with her own threats of what being a Queen is really about. She used her own flow and songs against her. She had some comical lines as well as hard hitting rhymes. The beat still goes hard all these years later and Kim used a 90's beat on purpose to remind Nicki of the Classic Era she's from. The song again hit Nicki will all facts of how she's not original and bite Kim.
How Lil Kim don't have to answer to her about making music and being on billboard cause of her Legendary status. The track was way more lyrical than "Roman's Revenge" by miles. This was a case of a Veteran putting a rookie in her place. Kim bodied her, no if, and, or buts about it. And she was so Hip Hop wit it, it's hard to see Nicki responding to this. Also this wasn't even Kim going as hard as she could and she still killed it. If Nicki makes the mistakes and makes a diss back, Kim will Ether her again on a new beat, this was just a warm up. I mean you guys be the judge, "Hang it up, FLATSCREEN" or "Black Friday", it's an easy choice. Like "Ether" Hip Hop fans from all over will always remember during "Pink Friday" opening week, Lil Kim put a stamp on Nicki's history that she birthed her entire exsistance. Also dropping on and naming it Black Friday has to be one of the hardest moves on Hip Hop History. Let's just say Kim is far from a has been.
