Drake mixtape went gold because it was rereleased into stores at the height of his career when everybody was tryna hear from him. He also added some new songs on there so it wasnt exactly the same cd. I bet he try that shit now in see wat happens. Dj Drama makes his money because the artist or the record label pays him to make the mixtape wit said artist. He also presses up his own cd's in ships them. Once his mixtapes make it to the public ppl start downloading them on sites like Datpiff and niggas will then just download it from there. Aint nobody going out their way to get a paypal account and order a cd and wait for it to arrive. Thats the point of mixtapes cuz there readily available from the local bootlegger. U dont have to drive nowhere or order, or make an account and all that. Thats just too much just for a mixtape.
