BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge rapper Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch, imprisoned since November in a drug case, has been indicted in what prosecutors are calling the murder-for-hire of a man in October.
The Advocate reported Thursday that an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury indicted the 27-year-old Hatch on a count of first-degree murder in the Oct. 21 shooting death of 35-year-old Terry Boyd.
Hatch, a girlfriend, and two Dixon Correctional Institution guards also were indicted on drug charges that allege they conspired to bring contraband - codeine, marijuana pills and synthetic marijuana - into the prison.
Prosecutors say investigators are looking into whether Hatch and others were involved in at least five other slayings since early last year.
Lil Boosie's latest album, "Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz," was released in September and includes the single "Better Believe It," featuring Young Jeezy and Webbie.

Amazing how those cats have all that bread, but still can't manage to stay out of trouble. I'm not about sacrifice my freedom and millions of dollars by going to certain places or associating myself with certain individuals. My azz would be at home the only time I'd leave is for food, doing my concerts and promotional shit, and finding some azz. Other than that my azz would be home.

Aint nothing wrong with kicking it, but a bunch of those cats want to go out to night clubs and shit with a whole entourage of niggaz. Then just so happens somebody from the entourage got beef with some more cats that you don't even know. Next thing you know shit gets popping and you pulled into some shit that you really didn't even have anything to do with.
I know Boosie is hood and therefore he associates himself with people from the hood, but at the same time you got to be smart about situations if I know certain cats about that drama I'm going to distance myself from them. I will help them out possibly even give them a lil bread, but I'm not going to be hanging out with them in the late night hours around a bunch of other folks with questionable character.
When you got money and got folks depending on you you have to think about that type of stuff. Its like the old people nothing ever good happens after 12 am and thats pretty on point so unless my azz is doing a concert or making a public appearance for promotional matter then more than like I would have my azz in the big azz house. You could possibly invite those cats over tell them to bring some liquor and have a few ladies come through. It might sound far fetched and funny but it beats the hell out of being incarcerated.
