Here's the thing about Monster. THey dont want you hired, they just wanna use you for statistics and advertisement. People will sell your phone # and email just to solicit you to either go back to school (Pheonix) or sell bullshit door-to-door. THEN, you gotta PAY to sell the product. Fuck that, put me in a uniform and a desk for 7 hours a day.

Instead of finding a job strictly online, I'd rather look for a job on feet with a printed resume.

Good luck with that. Fast food might be different but most companies now require you to use their website to apply and submit resumes. I know someone in HR right now that's told me she had people try to walk in with printed resumes and she just shreds them after they leave. Recruiters search for resumes online using keywords. Gone are the days of walking about job searching.

Good point. First time I filled out some apps on CRAIGSLIST, I got a strange phone call the next day. This foreign lady says "
Mr LaRoche, you need to claim your prize."
What prize? "
You've won 2.5 million dollars and a mercedes benz."
HOLY SHIT! So how do I claim it?
"Can you send $300 by western union?"

So yeah, that identity theft-scam shit is real.

You need to have resumes that can be worded diferently to fit what they are looking for. And a lot of employers are using outside HR companies to make their hires for them. they used software that does word matches. To get your resume looked at the best thing is to use words and phrases that were in the job description.
