he just shook his head and said "man you dont know me" wit his eye all cocked to the side ... had like this ill look on his face. then niggas stepped in before anything could escalate. he was there to perform. understand that biggie was really popular then but he wasnt paid like that yet.. he was no where near too big of a celeb to not come right down in the middle of the dance floor or table area and give hugs to the ladies and pounds to the cats who liked his albums. the only reason i was there was because the cats who promoted the show were the biggest drug dealers in my town and they wanted to showcase our local talent because they wanted in on the music business. this is back when i first started rapping on some "trying to get put on" shit... i was only about 14 ... thats how i met him .. cause i went and talked to him after that to let him know that it was all love and not to sweat it. now dont get me wrong .... its not like me and big exchanged numbers and he bigged me up in his album credits and shit ...the whole ordeal made him start talking to me and my lil cousin about how the rap game was what music to push and what music to keep on mixtapes etc. he didnt say much about being blamed for pacs shooting ... he just went on about it like it was part of being in the music business. he didnt realize at that point how much of an effect it had on the whole game across the nation... the whole shit was like a gift and a curse to him .... thats the vibe i got from that whole thing. he came back a couple times after that ... once during a faith evans show, the other was craig mack, channel live, and krs one .... he remembered me everytime after that whole ordeal with my brother

but see, shit like this would happen to big all the time, and how he reacted was how by word of mouth info got relayed .... thats how it was for everyone back then. how big handled that situation could easily turn into ... "the nigga admitted he shot pac" in a matter of days. if him and pac would have been able to sit down in a room and discuss the whole situation from top to bottom ... life as we know it would be completely different .... shit would been squashed, them niggas would prolly ended up making an album together by the end of it

Kinda. Niggas gotta remember Jay/Pac never had any personal interaction (personal meeting, phone conversation, nothing). His only problem w/ Jay was that he was cool w/ BIG and sometimes when u stand next to a target u get hit. Pac even dissed Jay on the original version of Hit Em Up but 1 of the Outlawz (EDI I believe) asked Pac to take Jay's name off b/c at that point Jay hadn't dissed Pac in any way so he did. It was after that he started dissing Jay. As far as "Dead or Alive" Jay recorded it while Pac was alive but BIG asked him not to get involved in the beef by releasing it so he obliged. I remember my older brother saying that Jay did perform at the Apollo one time in early or mid 96 and performed the song though and until it was leaked on the internet years later no one other than the ppl there that night had ever heard it. I think Jay even spoke on that in an interview so I'll see if I can find a link.

i remember performing opening up shows for redman, lords of the underground, and apache (gangsta bitch) all those cats were from jersey ... there was this kat there opening up for redman that went by the name of the lumber jack or some shit like that ... dude ended up becoming big pun LOL .. but he was no where near as good as he was when he actually met joe and became "big pun"

i performed in front of mad people and opened up for a ton of well known 90's rappers ... only cats i never met was pac, dogg pound, dre and nas ... i even met the alkoholiks and outkast and goodie mob

shit was mad different back then fam ... rappers didnt become instant millionaires in those days and ask for 80 g's a show on their first tour ... niggas would raise an eyebrow at 5 - 10 g's if they didnt have to travel far to do the show LOL ... but most wouldnt execpt less than 15 g's for an hour .... the show would naturally go longer if the crowd was hype tho ... the shit was like a real life party ... if the crowd and show were going that good ... nobody wanted it to end ... not even the rapper headlining the show ...

camp lo did a show in my town and the only reason the concert stopped was because the bar ran outta liquor LOL ... the promoter had rented out a hotel banquet room to have the show LOL .. so there was no real bar ... just some of his niggas brought mad bottles and were serving liquor LOL ... once the bar ran outta liquor .. everybody said fuck it and immediately went to the after party ... about an hour and a half later .. camp lo said fuck it and finished the show at the after party LOL
