im saying none of the lame niggas posting their music on sites like this in their signature or making threads about it will blow up. when is the last time that worked?

ever heard of wiz khalifa & kids n the hall ?? i remember wiz posting on rapmullet years back and kids n the hall actually got discovered via okayplayer.com forum ... ;)

but i agree with ya for the most part most cats on here aint gonna get signed cause most of them are @ baby stageswith thier music ... thus why they are posting it here vs places like clubs, mixtapes radio etc because the music isnt ready quality wise ..

but once they get it together and see it for what it is ... and get the money right ... and start networking they music .... anything is possible ;)

i hate when i type a song on youtube and its just some rapper spitting over the beat (of the song i was looking for)

i guess its a two way street imagin how that artist feels that you are streaming thier music for free ;) theyd prob be happy to know that u got bs' on youtube so much that you were forced to just buy the song from itunes so you could here it officially lol ;)

Wheter you niggas know it or not: 9/10 of these rappers already had connects to the industry BEFORE they blew up in some way shape or form. It's just not something alot of 'em talk about.

Rarely does an artist "just blow" outta nowhere from like the internet and shit. Most of these dudes already have some kinda connection to the industry or niggas in the industry and that's how they get a step closer to the success. Not saying that just cuz they know someone they gon' blow but its like having a friend whos the boss of a company..i mean obviously it'll be easier for you to get hired even tho it wont be assured.

one time offer for all you aspiring rappers: for a modest one time fee of $10,000, i will play your record. for a simple $12,000 i will drop bombs on it.

make your offers quick though, i gotta pay off the game tonight for letting me co-host his mixtape and thus getting me in good favor with the west again after that messy tupac incident.

lmaooooooooo, im late on this thread but this shit had me rolling...lmao @ that flex alias. Its the second time I randomly seen it on here

On some real, im confident in my music,.I know its dope plus I invested my future into other things so I can understand what the t/s is saying without catching feelings. There are to many rappers out here that don't know what they are doing...if you haven't invested more than $500 dollars minimum into this career you claim to love..chances are you have a long way to go. You have to spend money to make money and also have to look professional while being able to connect with your fanbase.

Dudes on youtube talking about getting mixxie pouring liquor on a dirty carpet...smh
And then you have the artists WITH money that try to hard but they're to confident to accept that people see right through that bullshit.

I know Im not not gonna blow up (well, the chances are slim to none)

the main reason I make music is cuz I wanna hear it

Im my biggest fan

& 9/10 times Im listenin to my shit (got damn near 100 songs)

jus like the old sayin "if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself"

thats why I wont complain bout shitty music others be makin (like most of yall)

cuz I jus make my own shit to listen to

& this is funny what my homie said

he said hes only gonna make 1 cd

& by 1 cd he means jus 1 physical copy for him to ride to (thats the kinda shit Im on)

ayo,Brian B

thats real shit

i said the same thing

even if i never achieve my goals im still happy i made something. i cant say it aint shit to listen to cuz i enjoy listening to what i make.
i was goin thru songs to make a press junket for a management meeting earlier today and i stumbled across a song i made and didnt like when it was finished...but jus hearing it again i felt refreshed. i prolly spazzed out to myself listening to that song like 4 times back to back

jus that alone is wort making music

real shit GRIP

making some type of living off what you luv to do is 1000x better than slaving away at a job you hate,no matter the money

i was talkin to my lady about it. explaining to her that a bottom level rapper prolly makes regular job money.
even if you do 30 shows a year for 2,000 bucks that 60k,minus taxes thats like 45-52 depending on what state you live in

because they think that music will gain them success

haha

you claim to be educated but, dont know what success is

success is a personal accomplishment

so, if its someones goal to have at least 1 person listen to & like their music & that happens he/she is successful

if I was to ask "do you think Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy were successful?"

you'd more than likely say no

but if their goal was to kill at least 5 people before gettin caught then they were very successful

So for the MC's/Prod. tryna get in the industry can y'all explain your thought pattern? Like what's your plan? I'm not a rapper/prod. im just interested cuz honestly i'd like to see niggas blow up, unless it's bs music of course lol.

The question is directed to the niggas who tryna get in the industry.

well i'm gon start my own independent label and publishing company for my music, there are tons of different ways to make money off besides doing shows and selling albums/singles/ringtone but of course a lot of individuals that try to get on rapping don't know about the business

So how did you learn about the business? Degree, reading or what? And what's your plan after that? I guess what im askin is how do you plan to market yourself? or just in the lab and create and create? And are you tryna blow up nation wide?
