I'm a bigger fan of Conan than I am Leno, however If Leno goes through with this shit his career is as good as over, at least in the court of public opinion. He's coming out of this whole mess looking like a shady backstabbing douche bastard.I'm pretty sure the deal is wrapped up though, Conan has been going in something vicious on NBC and Leno for the past couple days EXACTLY like a dude with nothing to lose would.

neither they need to either get some new writers or choose somebody else to fill the slot. Kimmel and Letterman got them boxed in

Conan has been actin like a little bitch over the whole thing, his ratings sucked so he wants to blame Leno. He couldn't beat Craig Ferguson so it dosen't matter where he goes he'll still fail. Leno's funnier and gets better ratings anyway so NBC made the right decision.

Leno is the main reason why NBC wanted to do the switch. He was getting crushed in ratings by his competition. He pulled in about 5 millions viewers while the comp pulled in 17 mil. He couldn't even compete with the local news, no one was feeling his show. So NBC panicked and figured they could save him by putting him in his original time slot.

The tough but easy decision should have been to put the Axe to Leno's crap of a show and bring him on the crew for conan as an overseer of creativity/writer or whatever you want to call the position that would have kept them both.

Conan's ratings were even worse than Leno's, they've always been historically bad. NBC made the right decision...

In their respective time slots, Leno was getting treated by The Mentalist and Conan was only 2 mil viewers short of Letterman. If that was anybody else but Leno they would have cancelled the show without thinking twice about it.
