I'm guessing Jason Rusch (second firestorm with Stein in the comics) was their original plan cause he appeared in The Flash.

I did hear they had some issue with the actor and that's probably why they called an audible and created this Jax failure. But it also seems like they left it open since Jason was not recast.

At this point though I don't care how they do it (mysticism, science or time travel) just bring back Ronnie!

my thing with fire storm is this, I read a firestorm comic when I was a kid and he was titled as the nuclear superhero. in the old superfriend cartoons his power was more than fire. he could manipulate matter at a molecular level meaning he can turn an adversaries gun into a boquette of flowers. I feel his powers in this show should be more than just fire. they already have heatwave on the team why should they have two fire base characters?

about fire based super heroes, as bad as fire is isn't that a terrible power for a superhero to have? fire destroys mostly. yeah it may be effective against some villians but if youre looking to save people what about that? I like the actor they got to play professor stein by the way he is spot on he reminds me of the professor stein from the super friends. captain cold is spot on also. heatwave reminds me of a villain that would be on jlu or justice league the way he delivers his lines lol.

Firestorm molecular abilities seemed to be nerfed though it was hinted at when Barry read the experiment in season 1.

Looks like the "critics" are digging episode 2 so if it continue pulls in ratings and get episode 2 like praise then its good for the show i suppose.
