But i honestly dont remember when it 1st dropped. I came across the track years later while listening to a Detroit mix by Rude Jude on Shade45

Did it get mass appeal?

It don't have to sell crazy to be a classic. He spit the perfect lyrics to that kinda beat. Some MC's get devowered by a tight beat. He fought that beat to perfection.

according to Royce It got him the most spins overall. Maybe in Detroit Rock City was bigger. I like Rock City better personally but I don't dictate popularity I guess.
