This finale could be a series finale.I hope not

It was great, but honestly I don't know wtf happened.

It was crazy how Kevin kept dying and how the shit from the 1st ep connected.

I felt dumb not knowing the girls joined GR.

Wusup with the black family resurrecting ppl?

I think Kevin caused the earthquake by trying to kill himself the 1st time.

Cosign. But there were some time lapses that didnt get explained. Either way I'm gonna set a time to go back and watch from season 1.

Didn't realized it hasn't got renewed. That would be shitty for real.

Great show. Just binge watched the second season and am going to watch the last episode tonight. Also saw it has been renewed for a third season, but it will be the final season.

People who gave up on the first season dont know what they missed.

I stopped reading this threads for possible spoilers, but someone mentions the cricket in the Murphy 's house. It was a clue about what happened to Evie and the other two girls. When Tom was with Meg her phone rang and she had a cricket ringtone. This was before what really happened to the girls was revealed. There are plenty of clues like this throughout the show.

Good news! Like I said before, shows like this don't need to be dragged out. 3 - 5 seasons tops. Glad to hear next season will be the last. I CAN'T STAND WAITING ON THE ANSWERS!! They need a few more episodes a season though.

That's a good ass theory. But Regina king told her crazy fireman husband that the cricket was chirping like crazy when evee left. Also evee left her cell phone in the car before they dipped out. So it couldn't have been her phone. That cricket is something deeper than rap. Unless she had meg phone in her house.........?

That was one of the best things the whole season to me. That intro left we confused as fuck. I thought it was just some metaphorical type shit and then I stopped thinking about it.

Thought they departed. But it all made sense when they started asking them questions about the departed. Evee was acting strange as fuck. Especially that scene when they was running butt booty naked in the woods.

Cuzzo knows something about what's going on. Had all that voodoo shit in his trailer.

This is the best show I have seen since the wire. Hands down, including game of thrones. The writing and direction is fucking impeccable.

I love this show but I have no idea how to explain it to my friends lol I just tell them they gotta watch it and take it in

LOL people are about to start watching season one and two now. season 3 is gonna get more views, but it's the last season. Shit's gonna end up just like the wire. It's gonna be cult classic status.

Bruh I thought that and the fact that Regina Kings character had that bird in the box would have more significance. I thought it was gonna be on some The Reaping type of plot twist. I was wrong tho.

In regards to the cricket, remember Evie gave her dad a gift the day when she didn't come home. It was supposed to be a clue for the audience. In the context of the show, she had to "cover her tracks" since they had been hearing the chirping. But when she left, had it just stopped it would have been suspicious. Vut when he finally opened the gift, the cricket in the box had died. But this was after Regina discovers the dead bird.

But another thing I just noticed is the bird dying in the box and what it meant to Regina Kings character (the state of Jarden). Had that bird lived, I think the cricket would have lived too....if you get my drift.

I can usually decode stuff like this but you went a little too deep. Dumb it down for me a bit.

Lol ight

Evie really wasn't "departed" and had been keeping in contact with Meg since she met her on the park bench in a previous episode. Remember the scene where she gave her a carrot and said "its impossible to cry and eat baby carrots"? (This was after Meg went to Eddie Winslow and found out her grandmothers last words.) the Murphys hearing the cricket was a hint to what REALLY happened to Evie. I didn't pick up on it until I heard Megs cricket ring tone on her cell phone.

Remember when Regina King explained how her grandmother told her Jarden was "special" and to test it by putting a bird in a box and burying it for three days? Well the first episode of the season she checked and the bird was alive. Towards the end of the season she did it again, but the bird had died. This was after Kevin and the others showed up. It was a sign that the "magic" of Jarden was gone. There really was something special about the place.

But I was saying if a bird buried underground in a box couldn't die BEFORE the "magic" left, then the cricket gift Evie gave her father would have still been alive too. There's more but I'm tired of typing lol.

Ok, I got all of that. But what I was saying was, that cricket was chirping even before the crazy ass fireman's birthday. So If you're implying that the cricket that was chirping was in the box evee gave him for his birthday. That can't be right. Because it was chirping before his birthday. Also, as regina king said, "it was still chirping after evee faked her vanishing". She even told him that the cricket in the box wasn't the one that was chirping in the house. She checked what was in the box so she knew it was dead already. She told him the dead cricket was a metaphor for him to let things go(or something like that). The cricket still lives. Not only that, don't you think he would have known that the cricket was in that box? He kept it right by his bedside as I recall. If it was just a ringtone on evee's phone I think they would have figured that out as well.

But the whole bird thing is deeper than rap though. Maybe them people calling up nora talking about demons and shit was true......?

Just finished season 2. Mad im late. ..

Only 1 thing i didnt get---and not philosophically, but it literally doesn't make sense:

Kevin gets poisoned, the kid drags him in the woods, he 'dies' goes all Inception and kills the lady, then wakes up from being buried and the kid says' oh shit' . I get it....then the, next episode it goes backware, to Evie's perspective from her disappearance , which i obviously is much earlier in the timeline, the night she disappears and Kevin attempts suicide.

Kevin jumps in the river, there's an earthquake saving him. In the FIRST recalling of this scene, in the early episodes, he wakes up and Patti is there with him. So he's actually there dolo

But in this 2nd recalling of him awakening after the earthquake, he gets up in the same way that he did after being poisoned, the same scene is replayed: he wakes up covered in sand and the kid is there and says 'oh shit', same 'awakening' sequence for 2 separate incidents

?????????????????????

Season three will be in Australia. Yall remember where Kevin's dad was in his vision while he was "dead"?

'The Leftovers' Is Moving to Australia in Season 3 (Exclusive)

The HBO drama from Damon Lindelof will pick up where it left off in Austin, Texas, before it goes down under.

The Leftovers is moving locations again — and this time, it's headed out of America.

Sources say the third and final season of the HBO drama will take place in Australia, both on- and off-screen, due to an upcoming storyline in the show. Production will pick up where it left off last season in Austin, Texas, before going down under.

The series from Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, which has established itself as a critical hit, started out in a small New York suburb (the fictional Mapleton, shot in Westchester County) before relocating in season two to a "miracle" town in Texas (Jarden, shot in Austin), also for creative reasons.

Based on the novel of the same name by Perrotta, the weighty drama explores what happens in a world where two percent of the population has mysteriously disappeared. The show hails from Warner Bros. Television, where Lindelof has an overall deal through 2018.

A premiere date for the third season has yet to be announced.

I think this will be good...
