The memory card and extra pad didn't come bundled with the shits. 5 of us had one pad on the PS1 for months. Then it was either pad or card, a no brainer in a house of 7+ kids

We were buying those thrid party controllers and memory cards.

You remember those memory cards, with like 128 blocks of memory, them shits that would become corrupt in 3-4 months, and make you lose all your game saves.

Lol this was totally me. My parents were cheap asses when i was growing up. Always bought me the cheapest game system bundle they could find. Got the PS2 3 years after it was released and didnt have a memory card for it for like 2 weeks. Would play GTA Vice City and Kingdom Hearts for forever but never turn it off cuz i couldnt save. Come home later, and the game would be frozen cuz the ps2 was on for too long lmao.

YOOO This Shit Was Me During The PSX Era...I'm Sure I've Told This Story Before But I Was Playing Resident Evil 2 (Leon Disc) And I Got To The Part Where You Face Off With That Fuckin Gator In The Sewers...Shit Was Instant Death Cuz I Couldn't Figure The Shit Out..I Finally Gave Up And Looked Online For The Walk Through...I "Copped" One From Some Lame In High School But Didn't Need Until The End.

Me and the other deaf homies at a community college when we were freshmen way back when Metal Gear Solid first came out for the PS2 ..we decided to skip two days of classes, we stay up all day for one day (including no sleep through the night) taking turns trying to beat that shit ..and we had no game guide.. finally got to Metal Gear...two guys didn't make it though the fight and the chase through the tunnel..but I had figure it out and got through the last part...us guys were happy as shit...breaking out beers (even tho we weren't 21 yet lmfao)...but that shit was good times..homies don't bond over games like that anymore these days.

Yea this was with my cousins..... we play forever trying to beat a particular boss. We even got to fighting like let's say you going up against a hard boss he kicking everybody ass nobody can't get his health below 90% but I get the sticks and get him below 70%. Then I'm like let me try again.... but my cuz think he got the formula so I say hold on. now mind you he had 3 straight shots to beat em didn't get em below 90%. So he try and snatching the sticks and we got into it.. needless to say parents heard us made us cut it off. Next day had to start all over. Smh

That was us with so many games on Mega Drive, PS1, N64 and Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure. One dies and passes the pad. When a part shows up that one of us was particularly good at, hand that dude the pad. It was a full team effort.
