Police: Man robbed date, shot her in the face
SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. —Police are offering up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of shooting a woman in the face.
The shooting happened in the area of Sullivan Road and Edison Drive.
College Park police have released photos of the suspect, who goes by the name “Cash.”
They say he met the victim around 1 a.m. Christmas Eve after chatting on the dating site Badoo.com.
“Shortly after meeting the male in person for the first time, they went to a local Waffle House. They soon left without getting any food. On the way back to a hotel, the male produced a handgun and instructed her to pull over and give him all her belongings,” College Park police officials said.
He allegedly shot the 34-year-old woman in the face and then stole her SUV, purse and cellphone. She is expected to be OK.
Police are looking for her 1999 black Jeep Cherokee with a Rhode Island tag.
