I'm in a fraternity, but I do agree with you to an extent.

On college campuses a lot of brothers get into frats for the social aspects such as wearing the letters, going to parties and being recognized, as well as getting at females, etc.

The actual job of the fraternity is supposed to be young men with similar goals and interest coming together to serve the needs the community.

You'll have some brothers doing service to the community and other brothers that are more about the party and social aspect of the fraternity.

This is in all fraternities it's not just limited to just some.

You should always see your local fraternities doing service in the community in some shape or form whether it's volunteering in soup kitchens or whatever.

After college frats still benefit brothers because they can use them on job applications and occasionally you might find a frat brother in a position of power which will give you favor over others who are not part of the fraternity.

I do notice a lot of brothers go inactive after college; inactive means they are none paying members of the fraternity even inactive a lot of brothers can still enjoy a lot of benefits of being in the fraternity.

true i can agree with that, there are some very beautiful parts of africa, and cities in africa that can compete with major american cities, I remember after leaving there, i used to black out on my boys all the time for thinking africa was nothing but mud huts
