Jigga ripped nas to pieces wit one verse that was facts

Nothin but facts

While nas said frivolous bullshit bars like "Dame diddy/dame daddy/dame dummy/Oh I get it you biggie and he puffy"

"Rockerfeller died of aids" = Never happened

88 you was gettin chased in your building = never happened

Yea, the shit was humerous to me. Nigga talking about "calling my crib" like that was suppose to be an insult. He was splashing your broad, so ofcourse he gonna call your crib.....to speak to her. The shit was one big fairytale and OT niggas fell for it. Talking about a nigga getting chased through his building, like he was actually in the street to know this. Ironically, Mega had that nigga on high alert something serious. Jay a sucka for letting made up bullshit annoy him. Like you was splashing this nigga baby moms, he knew it and did nothing. This the nigga you let get to you?

But Jay-z spit straight truth on Take Over and Nas told random Jokes on Ether.

Lol at this ridiculous post. I like Jay and Nas but seriously what truth did Jay say on takover besides the you know who line?? Ya niggas need to give it a rest and stop being in denial. What jay said on takeover was 95% opinion and u some of u dumbazzes don't have a clue on what the definition is between a fact and opinion. GTFOH with that garbage. Ether had everything in a battle which was fact, opinions, humor, sonning, science, and creativity. (Check what day ether dropped back in 01) And the rockefeller line is not the wikipedia dude u nerds be looking up either. He was talking about a street dude that actually died of aids. SMDH rehashing this same old non-sense. Nas got em end of story. They both still top 5 in my book.

Agreed. Takeover was hot. Hell I wasn't even sure if Nas could come back. However like my man just said. Takeover at least the part about Nas was most his opinion not fact. Jay Z was trying to end Nas career with Takeover. He almost did if it were not for Ether. We know Ether didn't destroy Jay.

Jay has more then moved on & prospered. Ether though was a lyrical buck 50 to Jay that will always be there.

The better question is, where did you read Moe Dee saying anything remotely close?

Anyways in many ways the newer generations aren't their peers. Simply for that fact that what the newer generation is doing was already by the pioneers and many of them had no blueprints to go by like the new generation does.

I disagree by the time Till the break of dawn dropped. Moe D was somewhat of a relic and the newer MC's had the game in a Choke hold. By 1990 Moe D was 10+ years into the Rap game. His time had passed so, with or without that Record Moe Dee was simply a Pioneer trying to hang in there.

Till the Break of Dawn. 1987

Wild Wild West. 1988

Shut up and study your History!

I think It's easy to proclaim Nas the victor because you didn't see any damage. Jay came off as salty and bitter during that battle.

Amongst men of honor it's not a privilege to have sex with your enemies girl. Thats like putting on a pair of his dirty drawers. But in the minds of some, it is a compliment, because they feel they are now somehow on thier foes level. Takeover may have had some truths, but ether just verbalized for Jay what he had knew all along.

I'll keep it peace because, it's apparent you suffer from some sort of deficiency.

"To da break of dawn" was a single off of Momma said Knock you out. Which was release in 1990.

Mama Said Knock You Out is the fourth studio album by hip-hop artist LL Cool J. The album was released in 1990, after the critically disappointing Walking with a Panther in 1989.

To da Break of Dawn" is a single from both LL Cool J's fourth album, Mama Said Knock You Out, and the soundtrack to the Kid 'n Play movie House Party. It was released on June 17, 1990 by Motown Records and Def Jam Recordings and was produced by LL Cool J and Marley Marl. The song was a diss to LL's rivals at the time, MC Hammer, Ice-T and Kool Moe Dee and was ranked #11 on XXL magazine's Top 20 diss songs of all time. The song peaked at #17 on the Hot Rap Singles chart.

Now who knows their History and who doesn't?

Just for Shits and Giggles Faggot. LL Released the album "Bigger and Deffer" in 1987 Which, by the way STUPID, "To the break of dawn" of was not on.

Now Apologize you Hip Hop bystander.

I stand corrected , I was thinking of Jingling baby when I wrote that post. However The shits and giggles and name calling is very unmanly. So you can have your point for beating me to wikiopedia. But I win for so easily making you emotional . Even still Moe Dee was still very relevant In 1990. as he jumped in the New jack swing lane w/ others. far from the relic that you say he was.

I'm with you on this. I definitely believe he was a lyrical dude, but he's not in my top 15-20. However, people like what they like so it is what it is. I definitely think if he would have been able to start off around 88/89 he would be more appreciated for his skills. His albums just never did it for me overall.

So, instead of you checking yourself you tried to check me and it backfired. Your lack of knowledge and research is what was unmanly. I didn't need Wiki. The post you responded to clearly pointed out the year 1990. I copied wiki so your already fractured leg would completely broken given you nothing left to stand on. I don't come here talking out my ass or seeking attention. If, I take the time to post it's because, I know very well of the things I choose to write on.

I will agree to disagree that Moe Dee was relevant come 1990. However, I will again give you a tidbit. Moe Dee had worked with Teddy Riley long before the NEW JACK SWING era. And if there was any MC that capitalized on that era it would be Big Daddy Kane. Perhaps you are just confused yet again?
