Like if this game had co-op it would be the shit.... but single player it's just not living up to it's potential and I hate to say that because I am primarily a single player gamer, but this shit here was built for co-op bruh. The battle system doesn't even feel right for single player, the open world is huge but it feels barren (*cough*MGSV*cough*), the story so far is highly forgettable (seriously I give no fucks about it and in a FINAL FANTASY GAME that is NOT a good thing), all of the quests are fetch and retreive quests (Witcher 3 has me spoiled do better on the side quests people)...... *sigh* so much potential I don't think it will live up to.

Did you beat it already? Nh

Nah I'm like 25 hours in, the battle systemfeels like a watered down Devil May Cry now that I think about it, there isn't much Final Fantasy about this. They can't just put a couple songs in there for nostalgia and expect me not to see through the smoke and mirrors. Like I said it isn't a bad game, but it could be much better(especially after waiting a decade). I don't even have to beat the game to tell you that.

And before yall say anything I have played every final fantasy ever made (couldn't bring myself to finish that trash that was 13 though beat all the other ones).

This guy's a liar and woRd on the street is he has a bad pcp problem. Do not trust him.

I've been sick since I've gotten to altissa and haven't played at all. Gonna take it slow for these updates tho. That sucks for whoever beat the game already though lol.

Not sure if you know yet but, cop-op is coming in a DLC patch, not sure if it's part of the free one or not.

-----------------

For those want to wait for the holiday patch to beat the game, I hear it's best top stop at chapter 0, since that's the last time the game will be open world for real, without having to go through some annoying stuff.

I feel like a sucker because I bought the collectors edition hardcover strategy guide because someone posted a promo code reducing the price by like $5.00, and it was already half off.

I don't feel like a sucker because it's useless, it's actually packed with info, I feel like a sucker cause I did that shit spur of the moment while looking at my phone at work. Amazon makes it way too easy to buy stuff, lol

4+ hour dungeon that you can't save in.

*shaq face*

Why did SE listen to those people asking for artificial difficulty

Yall here about that monster that tales a full hour to fight? I hear about it from some dude at work and he showed me there was a youtube vid of the fight but I didn't watch it. Did anyone do that fight? Took some nyquil and feeling a smidgen better. Checking out altissa now and finally figured out how to change characters combat techniques. You unlock them in ascension, but to allow your team to use them you have to go to gear in the main menu and change it from there. It should be the first slot.

I know about it, most were bitching about it because it's just a boring long slug fest, it's adamantoise.

But there are Jedi Master Tonberries, spoiler for those that don't want to see the fight.

This guy has a bunch of FF15 boss fights uploaded and he says it's one of the harder boss ights.

Been playing about an hour a day for a weak and feel like I haven't gotten anywhere. Not saying that in a bad way. I've just spent so much time on the little side missions I forget about the story sometimes.

It's ok. I like the gameplay. I wouldn't say it really fits a Final Fantasy game, but it has it's good points. The phase dodge is dope. I was getting shot at by like 10 soldier and I kept mashing button and dude basically pulled of the matrix shit and didn't get hit once.

I'm chilling on chapter 6, just upgraded the Drain Lance to 3, and I obtained Ultima Blade for Noctis.

info on updates.

n a blog post today, Final Fantasy XV game director Hajime Tabata discussed at a high level some of the free updates coming to the RPG in the future. He said the "great reception" the game has received has allowed the developer to "expand [its] plans even further" in terms of post-launch support.

"We want you to enjoy Final Fantasy XV for a long time to come," he said. "We have been listening to your ideas on how to make the game experience even better, and so in addition to the previously announced content, we'll be providing free updates to the game throughout the coming year."

Square Enix didn't get into specifics, but said the plan is to "enrich certain aspects of the game." There will also be "gameplay enhancements" for Chapter 13, as well as buffs to ring magic, among other things. Specifics about the free updates are coming at a later date.

Tabata went on to say that, in the "long term," the idea is to make "certain key characters" beyond the main four playable. Square Enix is also considering adding customizable avatars.

"Other features we have in mind include letting you carry over stats from a previous playthrough, and adding items that introduce new playstyles, such as low-level runs and god mode," Tabata said. "We're also examining readability tweaks--increasing font size--for certain languages. On top of that, we're looking at content you can enjoy in real-time, including new bosses with exclusive rewards and achievements, and limited-time hunts."

All of these updates will be free. Beyond those, Square Enix will also offer paid expansion. As announced previously, these are (working titles):

FFXV Holiday Pack

FFXV Booster Pack

FFXV Episode Gladiolus

FFXV Episode Ignis

FFXV Episode Prompto

FFXV Expansion Pack: Comrades

That last expansion, Comrades, will introduce online co-op.

Level 98 now

Finished the main story; it definitely needs some fleshing out and felt rushed

Finished secret dungeon with no monsters.. Jesus that was a pain in the ass but worth the trouble for the higher end shit

On to the locked dungeons now. Finished one so far and that was the longest one. Epic fights in there.

I'm on chapter 12 at level 53 currently. I think I'm gonna wait for the patch to come out so I don't miss the new stuff. What happens when you finish the main story? Just sends you back to open world to finish whatever side quests you didn't do and dungeons? I still gotta upgrade wea pons and all that but I want to go back to open world before I beat the game

In the final chapter you gain a way to return to the open world.

Don't read the spoiler if you don't want to know

the world is in ruin after chapter 13 ends, Noct makes his way back to the main world and eventually finds Umbra. In the last couple of areas and at all rest areas, Umbra has an ability to let you "remember" the past. That's how you explore the open world again

Platinum this few days ago. Best ff imo since 7, but the story at the end seems kind of rushed. Love the battle system. Cant wait for the remake wirh the new battle system. That final battle on some matrix shit and was on point.

Maxed at 99 with all quests done cept for dave and the demon wall hunt. That last fishing quest when you gotta catch a 200lb fish is real. Still have to catch the legend in vesperas. Bout to do the hidden dungeon with no enemies. Heard it's brutal lol.

Still feel like there's lot more to do because u haven't even hit the secret locked doors in the dungeons. @145 hrs atm.

I meant which one is the last chapter you can open world before it becomes linear. I keep hearing like chapter 12 or 13 turns the game linear again.

It's only linear for a short while I think it's 13 then you get umbra to go back if you want. I just finished it said fuck it will watch the other shit on YouTube or maybe they might have a new game +

Don't be afraid to complete the game without exploring the open world as much as you want. You really can go back and go anything in the open world and even new things are opened up to you.
