That was pretty much always the case with Ultras right. They'd be 70 hit combos where 45 of those hits were the same move.

Plus long combos just aren't as impressive now as they were when KI first came out. Lots of games have long combos way more impressive than that Ultra.

I wouldnt mind seeing Conker in this. They have to give us atleast one random Rare character. All the cool fighting games are doing it.
 
Riptor is all but confirmed. It's one of the lead devs favorite character from the original. He tossed his name around like 3 or 4 times at E3.

In Killer Instinct, its all about linkers, doubles and ultimately enders. You have to "cash in" the combo with an ender in order to gain any real damage. You are trying to get as many hits in as possible before "cashing in" in hopes that your opponent doesn't figure out what you are doing and break the combo. The same combo will have varying degrees of damage depending on the ender.

Ironic how it looks more like Street Fighter now tho (footage looks like an advanced version of Primal fear also)...

Its promising as is tho.

30 minute demonstration at EVO 2013 this Sunday. Glacius will be shown and playable, plus at least one new character reveal.

Killer Instinct Xbox One: Double Helix posts breakdown of fan requests

The Friday after E3 was business as usual for the KI team. Everyone was back in the studio, heads down and up to our eyeballs continuing to forge ahead on Killer Instinct–with one exception: we were already starting to get mountains of feedback from the community rallying around the game.

We’ve been a little quiet on the forums (that will change in short order), but wanted to let everyone know how much we appreciate your feedback and excitement. In addition to Rich’s polls and upcoming weekly dev chats, here’s a snapshot of what we’re hearing so far.

A behind the scenes look put together by Gametrailers. In this video you can already see the changes to the blood since the reveal. Theres more of it and it pools on the floor now. You can also see Sabrewulf's stage and Glacius in action briefly.
