Let me try to understand you logic, Lets say I was a black male who attended an predominately white university. I shared a room with a white male, shared classes with white students and where taught by white teachers. During the time spent at so and so University, the black male was "playfully" teased with derogatory terms regarding his race. Due to "these" influences from people he "vibed" with, the black student should now view his own people in a negative light. Not because of his personal experiences, but because he should view himself as "one of them" in regards to the people surrounding him. Correct? As I stated earlier I spent six years in NC. The town I live in was maybe 70% white and the rest mixed with black, latino, etc. Of course there were white youth who spend majority of their lives mingling with black youth. Not once did the discussion of giving whitey a "nigga" pass come to light. It's not about "getting it". It's about dealing with reality. The same whiteboys you view as "one of us" come from a bloodline dedicated to hatred. That's all they know. While you and the crew handing out passes, you better believe young whitey laughs at your ignorance while breaking bread with his real family. If my community of whites "kindly" made derogatory remarks about my race, should my evolution into a full blown self hating black be acceptable?
