I dunno man. I just think that more people need to NOT be concerned with what the world thinks about them. I get that he's a celeb and makes a living based on what people think about him, but there's a balance. At what point does a nigga just just say to themselves, 'Fuck the blogs and all that. I'm not gonna go out of my way to shit on anyone and remain grounded...but I'm also not gonna go out of my way to make everyone comfortable.'?
Because in 2014 everything is about public perception when you are in the spotlight. And when you are in the field of entertainment there are things that you just can't do because you are offending the same people who pay to see you. I quite frankly don't give a shit about his personal life. But there are numerous people who do and will stop spending money on you out of spite. Look at Alicia Keys. She can't even sell anymore after she was labeled a homewrecker.
I've seen plenty of interviews with Kevin Hart and he seems very aware how fleeting this fame thing is, how lucky he is to be where he is and very grounded. Seems to me that he probably knew before hand that proposing on the day his ex was debuting her show would cause some people to feel some kind of way about it but still chose to do it. If that man is cool with some idiots who are too invested in things that they play no part in not feeling him anymore, who are we to be like 'He shouldn't have done it.'?
I don't care about what he did. It's like I said before I don't care nor do I pay attention to what celebrities do. The fact of the matter is this, when you become a celebrity you become a slave to public perception because those same people who pay to see you can and will turn off the faucet when they feel you haven't been acting right. Kevin Hart's primary audience is black women. These same women could look at this situation and feel like
they have been wronged. No matter the explanation, no matter the reasoning. They are only going to focus on two things, the fact that he may have cheated on her ( I say may because I don't know for certain and don't give enough of a fuck to find out) and that he threw up money with a new "non-black" chick in strip club. Now I'm not saying that they will or should turn on him. I'm simply saying it's a possibility.
