Okay let's accept and be tolerant of Gays

But let's shit on people's religions and belief systems. Seems admirable.

Homosexuality isn't a choice. Religion is. Just saying..

Not to say that we should reject either ( necessarily ), but one is genetic.

Sexual orientation is not a choice.

Being a man and having sex with a man is a choice..

Just like being a man and having sex with a woman is a choice.

There's evidence that suggests pedophilia is genetic as well. Is everything that's genetic acceptable? I'm not comparing pedophilia to homosexuality --one involves victims, one involves consenting adults(hopefully). That "born this way" argument is just pretty weak.

In order to make a choice you have to have options...what I'm saying is that for me there was never any other option than women in who I'm attracted to and it's always funny to me when people make the "choice" argument. At no point did I make a conscious choice to love women, it's just the wonderful thing my brain automatically led me to. Majority of people don't make a decision they just like whatever it is they like.

That's what I said tho..."sexual orientation is not a choice".

You can't control who you're attracted to. My point was that you can control who you have sex with. Personally I believe the denial of the right for gays to get married is good old fashioned American hypocrisy so I think gay people should absolutely be allowed to get married.

I'm not about to be out there marching and shit with them tho. Fuck all that

I was just commenting in general about the choice argument...but if you think it's not a choice then how can you say the "born that way" argument is weak though? That kind of contradicts itself. If it's not a choice then it's something you're born with...yeah there are some outside forces that can affect that decision but for the vast majority of people who we are attracted to is something we're most likely born with.

I meant that the "born this way" argument is weak when you're arguing against somebody who believes something is morally wrong. Like I said about pedophiles, there's evidence that shows that they're predisposed to be attracted to children. That doesn't mean it's okay. Or if you look at sociopaths or anything like that.

Again, not putting gays in the same category as all that but just using those examples to illustrate...even if you are born that way what does that have to do with it? If somebody believes that homosexuality is wrong then they don't give a shit if you were born that way or not.

Ironically today i was reading this fof thread of the nigga d bauce or whatever his name is. The thread where he "salute" chief keef. Lol you niggas are ruthless.

My gripe with Hollywood is that yhey support gay rights over black rights. I guarantee you if a gay boy was gunned down the same way Mike Brown was you would see the be more supportive of the cause. You wouldnt hear what about gay on gay crime. I see no gay folks supporting balck rights. Why the hell should i support gay activism when they do not care about me? Foh they are all the same.

I have nothing against gays but i have yet them protest against police brutality against black males and females. They dont give a shit about us.

Blah blah blah Bitch...I'm all for Gay Rights and shit. And have argued with a lot of you morons who seem not to be able to think reasonably about matters of equality with groups you have illogical fears of.

HOWEVER...I don't recall GLAAD sending out support to #BLACKLIVESMATTER...

That hashtag was created by a gay black woman.

Actually, the BlackLivesMatter website is mostly a front for black gays & Trannies, if you buy #BlackLivesMatter shirt the proceeds goes to gays/tranny victims of violence.

My whole issue so many groups want black folk to join them but when it comes to our issues they disappear. When the BPP was around they had allainces with mad folks but when it came to black issues white liberals, hispanics, gays all dissapeared. FOH i support blacks as a whole first. Did GLAAD speak out for black rights? No. Gays want our support but when they reach the top they will forget about us. Plus like so many people said we do not have power. Those redneck, chickenshit, racist down low gay Repulicans are virulent homophobics. But blame us.

Woah. Sure some of you guys aren't related to Lucious?

I don't, but it really doesn't matter.

When / If I do have children, whether they be hetero or homo, they'll be born that way.

I can't lie, I'd prefer my children be straight, but I'm in not homophobic, at all.

I understand that being a parent raises ones paranoia ( let's just call it what it is ) tenfold, but that's no excuse for such selfish intolerance.

All this shit that's going on in the blk community... But lets talk about gay issues.... As if Gay ppl aint got mouths. They could speak up for themselves. cuz Aint nobody else speaking up for blacks.

I guess gay mouths, are only good for sucking dick, and eating pussy.

Wft?

A lot of blk ppl identify as gay or bi

And the hashtag that has become the movement’s signature, #BlackLivesMatter, was itself coined by blk queer women in the wake of Mike Browns death

Ferguson’s Millennial Activists United, was created by three young blk women 2 of whom were gay and later married each other

Blks have a tendacy, to be worried about everybody else, while we're at the bottom.

Blk issues are blk issues... Not straight issues, not gay issues, not muslim, not christian... Blk...

Muslims handle muslim shit

Christians, handle christian shit

Blks handle blk shit...

If Kerry Washington is gay, and there are rumors about her. Than so be it.

But if she she aint.

I dont see mexicans involved in blk issues....

@ the bold...the interesting thing about these discussions is that they tend to reveal the ways in which people rank the categories they feel they fall into in life, because nobody is just one thing. There's black folks that fall into every thing you just listed, especially Muslim and Christian which is a vast majority of blacks. Also oddly that some people feel as if one person can't concern themselves with more than 1 issue at a time. As if because a person speaks out about one thing, they can no longer speak out about another.

Let's see... Gay blks are treated like shit.

Straight blks are treated like shit

Blk muslims are treated like shit.

Blk christians are treated like shit.

Afro latinos are treated like shit.

Afro americans are treated like shit.

Rich blacks are treated like shit

Poor blks are treated like shit.

Educated blks are treated like shit

Uneducated blks are treated like shit.

Employed, un employed. u can be all you can be, but the underlying factor is, that blks are treated like shit.... Call your self w/e, but just remember nigga.

And I agree with that to always remember you're black, but at the same time when you get to considering all the "groups" that people fall in line with there's alot of people of other races that get into the picture...and a person shouldn't be told that they're doing something wrong for being able to address the issues that affect them from a racial aspect, and also whatever aspect that allows them to identify with whatever group they're defending.

Cool ... But let them remember , they are at the bottom of that same group they are defending.

We empower our selves, As blacks first.. the reason our ass is at the bottom is because we are black...

After u empower ya self.

Then u become an empowered black: homo sexual , muslim christian, athesist, actor , athlete etc. until then, we'll forever be at the bottom Of the group.

Yes, and Schindler's List was about ONE good Nazi. Doesn't redeem the rest of them.

And ONE black lesbian doesn't redeem GLAAD as an organization. I'm talking about GLAAD as a political organization not one person who happens to be gay.

Word? That's some misdirection like a muhfucka.

I know one thing: I am definitely tired of being the scapegoat every time something is awry with this country. And our own people seem to be the catalysts for this nonsense. Whenever a prominent black person says things like this in public, all it does is reaffirm to the ignorant that we deserve to be treated like second class citizens. I don't understand how these niggas can't see this shit.

I really believe that being black in Hollywood requires you to become detached from the issues that plague black America, less you end up like Monique. Common should stfu, Kerry Washington should stfu, ASAP Ferg should stfu, and everyone that subscribes to their way of thinking can go play in traffic.

Check it outhttp://blacklivesmatter.com/ I don't think they're selling the shirts anymore, but look at and read the articles on there, and check hierarchy of hashtags at the bottom of the page.

The amount of fear and hate in this thread is ridiculous.

To hate an entire group of people not because of the type of people they are as individuals, but because of a certain category they fall into, is a very European way of thinking.

Oh, but it does. And you just touched on the topic when you reluctantly agreed with the status quo in that you'd prefer your children to be straight. Why do you feel that way? Hypothetically speaking, if your son wanted to wear girl's clothes, how do you imagine you'd react? What would you feel like? I mean, because hey, according to you, the behavior is in line with normalcy.

Now, if you don't think you'd be okay/comfortable with this scenario actually playing out in your life, I suggest you kinda reel it in when bashing traditional thinking.

Just because I'd rather my children be straight doesn't mean that I wouldn't be alright with them being otherwise. In all honesty, I'd prefer that they be straight because it wouldn't be something I'd have to adjust to, as selfish as that is; But I can admit that my thinking is selfish; And as I said, the adjustment would be for me to make, not them.

Traditional view hold us back as a species, frankly. Traditional values are rooted in what people are comfortable with, nothing else. It used to be "traditional" for us to be property. Equality is more important than narrow minded people's feelings.

No the european way of thinking would be saying "sure it's ok anything goes". whites have a long history of being sexually liberal.

#BlackLivesMatter was created by three black lesbians and it was funded by a billionaire named George Soros whose very pro-gay. And then two of those three black lesbians suddenly decided to get married and publicized their marriage during the so-called "new Civil Rights Movement" in Ferguson.

It's not selfish. Despite you perpetuating the notion that you're above the fray of us neanderthals, you really aren't. You're just doing your damndest to conceal it.

It's OK bruh. We won't judge you for being a heterosexual, black man. Despite what the media portrays, we're actually pretty cool.
