A little deeper and darker than his first. it's pretty much a conscious album very fit for underground consumption without hypocrisy.

Very dope. I'll give it an 8.5/10, it's a lot like Section 80 and Overly Dedicated.

The fantano YouTube review was the best breakdown of the akbum i have seen so far. He gave it a 10. But yall wont check it because hes white...

But would rather read an article about how white people can or cannot handle the album

SMH

Has nothing to do with him being white. Most of us here fuck with Bronsolino's music tough. I'm one of the few people here that likes Mac Miller. Statik Selektah is a fuckin great DJ. El-P and Evidence make great shit. Harry Fraud is one of my favorite new producers and Alchemist may be my favorite rap producer of all time.

So what are you saying bro? Out of everything I just said, I bet most posters will agree with majority of it, sans the Mac Miller endorsement.

Fantano is a hipster vulture, and that's what we don't like. It just so happens that he's white too, and that doesn't help his case here.

Hol up..............

Statik Selektah is white?

I completely underestimated this album. after having this on repeat for the last 4 days, TPAB is only getting better. Album of the year, prolly album of the decade.

I dont listen to radio but am curious what records are gettin spin from this album?

The production on mdtbf insanely ill... To pimp a butterfly is nowhere near that..yall need to stop that

I have my own opinion. .the same way i have my own ears ...

The production on MBDTF was great, but i prefer TPAB production... Shit just put me in a zone... I truly appreciate this album.

A lot of this is Kendrick's genius. He kept speaking about having a big sound, a Parliament type of thing. And I'm all about that because George Clinton is my favorite artist. For a lot of the material, Kendrick had a sketch idea of what he wanted. He would sing out the melody and some of the words, and I would just interpret what he was telling me. On the songs where I added backing vocals, some of it was freestyle; just adding color to make it a fuller sound.

Wow, im impressed.....

Bc usually it takes years for 1 artist to dickride the other artist with the 'yo this dude is insane in the booth. We just winged it, his process is PHENOMENAL' interviews

Pete rock's voice on complexion let alone is legendary. I'm glad rapsody got some well deserved shine. "U" is just depressing but it let's us know kendrick isn't afraid to tackle the subject Matter of suicidal thoughts like biggie did and let us know he's human at the end of day. The walls is too nice . For him to go from details of a female vaginal area to intertwine with a story of karma for a imprisoned man is crazy. The Cost of a dollar track where God talks to him at the end makes u rethink about shunning bums without knowing their story. But man Mortal Man is my favorite track and Pac on the end is icing on the cake. I MIGHT CATCH A LOT OF NO SIGNS FOR THIS BUT FROM A MUSIC STANDPOINT IT'S A CLASSIC. Besides when was the last time a conscious rap album was this popular in today's society.

Im in the minority but i find it laughable how highly rated MBDTF is

Its a GOOD album. Nothin wrong with being just that.

But again, in a dearth of classic albums, it gets forced.
