LA niggas are like NY niggas. They unite under LA til they get to issues with each other then its "You from Long Beach that ain't LA" just like NY niggas start separating shit by borroughs lol

"You from Yonkers that ain't the City"

-no nigga ever

We'd claim Newark if we could.

I'll start off by saying I like the album but

This album is a step back Imo. With his previous joints he separated himself from his peers but not on this one.

It kinda feels like he made an album that would be mainstream, which I can't knock him for, but I just don't fuck with it like the other ones.

It sounds like he was listening to a lot of Drake while making this album too.

Duckworth is classic Kendrick tho

I agree with songs like "Love" and "Loyalty" feat Rihanna it can fit into today's radio playlist.

One thing about California music is:

1. Your delivery gotta be on point

2. You gotta be saying something ppl relate to

3. The beat gotta be hard hitting

If you got all three of the above, niggas gon bump your shit.

I fuck wit a couple tracks off Damn but a lot of them other songs get boring, I lose interest, and it amounts to a nigga saying a bunch of stuff over a beat in the background. Even if he is saying some deep or slick shit, after i hear it once, I go back to the music I feel tho....

Schoolboy Qs delivery > Kendricks lyricism. Sorry IC ;(

That's the same for music that's taken seriously everywhere. That's not just a Cali thing

So ya'll NY niggas don't start cracking jokes on each other based on whichever borough you're from? Wasn't it a NY nigga who came up with the "Manhattan keeps on making it, Brooklyn keeps on taking it ,Bronx keeps creating it, and Queens keeps on faking it"? Shit I know plenty people from the Bronx who tell niggas from Co-Op City "Nah you not from the Bronx. Co-Op ain't the Bronx"

It feels like Kendrick was throwing slight shade to Drake saying I can make your kinda music better than you lol

There is a big difference between one song on your album about Love vs 15 straight songs about simping and dwelling on ex girlfriends.

Nah. LOVE. sound nothing like Drake's music just because K. Dot sang on it... it's just a song that'll do well on the charts

LOYALTY. however is climbing up slowly on the charts I read

Yea but thats why i cant fuck with Drake. Drake makes the same fuckin song 100x over. I stopped really checkin for him after Take Care. You wont find me in his threads.

Just because he made 1 track called Love u cant say its a Drake track. Artists like Nas, UGK, & Devin the Dude have made tracks similar in style or topic. Drake didnt invent it... He just dont do shit else.
