Watch The Throne was produced mostly in Europe and Australia ... with the album art designed by French design house, Givenchy and a whole lotta European music sampling and help from the likes of Michael Dean and Jeff Bhasker . . .

Meanwhile contrast that with another collabo HipHop/Reggae album called Distant Relatives whose content and concept was about the Motherland of which KanYe West has ancestral origins . .

I don't think where it was recorded is why people called it euro, and not because of the producers either. mike dean is a houston texas legend. it was because of some of the borderline techno/dubstep/electronic sounds on the album.

also, I think WTT was better than DR based off the music alone. rap wise DR was probably better.

Distant Relatives was better overall i think but i liked WTT. i just wanna know why people are running this euro thing into the ground. that guy's answer is not what i was expecting

why are you comparing Distant Relatives to WTH?

Because it is Black Music with Black people in mind for its consumption . .

And I still remember Ye screaming on 'Crack Music' : "That's that Black music, nigga!!!"

it aint that hard to comprehend.... College Dropout was full of soul... the recent bullshit sound euro

so is he euro because he's not using soul samples anymore?

@rip.dilla you are full of shit. you people will call it caping but plenty of artists use electronica samples and influence on their albums (remember house music is black music). Criticizing his music really isn't good enough. you wanna talk about him doing all this fashion designer, wifing up a white whore or whatever fine but you can't even articulate why you think his music is "euro". you used a bullshit example with Distant Relatives. You know what else is black music made for black comsuption? Finally Rich by Chief Keef. Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. etc etc etc. try harder

LET ME DROP THIS CUBE CLASSIC TO KANYE WEST FIRST

Ice Cube - True To The Game

Look at you negro's, Kanye going back to black music and niggas eating that shit up.....This is the typical Black Artist that left the black fans and black music to go mainstream and pop, embrace the white culture trying to be in their circle but when u start losing white fans because they tired of your shit and black fans for selling out then you run back to the black "underground" fans when shit happens..

this is nothing new those who know the black american music culture, that it always happens since the days of Blues and Gospels in the 20's until now...

Let's see, Kanye left his black woman for a white stripper, then for a white c class celeb, dont want his child listen to hip-hop the last great black genuis musical artfrom that made him multi millions, embrace the european culture, holding it up as the pinnacle of success, greek like homo clothing got with kim now the white audience start not to like his ass his popularity is falling with the pop white audience after all the dick sucking he was doing then he lost some of his black fans, now he want to come back......

naw in the words of the great emcee O'SHEA JACKSON....

Now look at yourself, boy you done flip-flopped

Giving our music away to the mainstream

Don't you know they ain't down with the team

They just sent they boss over

Put a bug in your ear and now you crossed over

On mtv but they don't care

They'll have a new nigga next year

You out in the cold

No more white fans and no more soul

And you might have a heart attack

When you find out the black folks don't want you back

And you know what's worse?

You was just like the nigga in the first verse

Stop selling out your race

And wipe that stupid-ass smile off your face

Niggas always gotta show they teeth

Now I'm a be brief

Be true to the game

all bullshit aside that verse cube spit was a sincere letter to 50 Cent......

from him crossing over

to him being replaced

to him having a heart attack when realizing niggas don't want him back

to him always grinning and showing his teeth

You're up in your feelings for dude . .

I'm a fan of his but a lot of people not you included have said his music has lost some soul which is . .

Black music

You can try to blame it on the samples used for production, but truth is there are several James Brown samples on WTT, as well as Otis Redding, Nina Simone, Quincy Jones, Curtis Mayfield, and Syl Johnson. Sure there's samples from techno and dubstep groups, but honestly if it wasn't for the credits I wouldn't know the difference between those being sampled or someone messing with the sounds themself for WTT.

Apart from 'Otis' which according to the credits was solely produced by him (I'll give him credit for that) and 'The Joy' by Pete Rock, nothing else on that album has any soulful rhythm on . .

Maybe its just me though
