seriously...Im stanning all over this album, but really...what hip hop album is better? I cant think of anything in its league, let alone competition. This albums competition is Sgt Peppers, Abbey Road, The Wall and Thriller. ready To Die? Aquemeni? great albums...but not on the same level.

its not stanning if it's true...this is not just a top ten rap album but genre wsie, one of the greatest compisitions of music of all time. it's definately in the top 50 at the very least of great albums. niggas back in the day didn't fuck with the purple tape or illmatic but even now botha re sitll considere dhip hop classics. this is outkast, jay-z, beatles, daft punk, everything broguht together. kanye had college dropout's high pitched samples, late rigstrations glorious strings, the elctric funk of graduation, and the emotion of 808's and heartbreaks and added the ability to have length as a alley to his repitoire. album of the 2000s. from 2000 to 2010 kanye has too much good music to deny anymore. fuck a hater though...let that boy cook

I haven't done my review yet but yes it's a great album. But you wilin, it's not in competition with those albums. LOL @ it being anywhere near those MJJ albums and Beatles albums and no it's not better than "Ready To Die" or "Aquemini". Let's not get carried away.

Lets not get carried away with discounting albums just because they are new. This shit is classic. Beyond classic. a hip hop song with a 5 minute musical outro that does nothing but add to the song? Where else have you seen that? A killer guest verse coming out of nowhere after 3 full verses? This shit is amazing. Even the opening part by Nicki sets this up as a total classic. Rolling stone and AHH were both right to call this album an instant classic...it is.

This... I'm not declaring it better than Ready to Die or anything but people need to stop acting like nothing new cant be better than anything in the past. You're never gonna give anything a chance if it can't get past this ridiculous pedal others place on certain albums.

uhh Black Milk did it two months ago with Album Of The Year, try listening to something that isn't mainstream.

The word 'classic' according to them, must not be used to describe any album less than 10 years old.

Did he? LR was released in '05 and in that period I wasn't aware of Em dropping anything...

I've studied The Grammys for years and 'Ye is a favourite with them... I'm very sure he'll get the nod for Album Of The Year
