Not a stan, but with this post you basically are asking for a break down. As a fan of the song, I could tell you that I liked the beat. I think Jay's verse stood out because although it's simple and straight forward, it is actually a verse that has some realism to it. There's no fancy double entendres or reaches for a triple entendre. It's a stripped down Jay Z verse that's dope. When I say stripped down, I don't mean dumbed down. I mean, it's something that kind of takes away the business suit, glitz and glamor and shows that Jay's a regular person. He's done verses like this before, but not on a beat like this with that flow. He also manages to throw a couple of witty lines in there.
