My opinion: If you pop in College Dropout, then listen to HAM, you would almost definitely say Ye's verse on here was trash. On the contrary, comparing HAM to his recent efforts, it was still just OK. Jay-Z was good here. Again on par with his recent stuff but not really what a hardcore Jay fan would want to hear. As far as the beat I personally found it a bit awkward for these two. A bad selection.

Lets be honest, this song is good, but for Jay and Kanye its just ok. IMO, this album should be produced only by Kanye. Jay and Ye' are to big to be trying to replicate BMF.

Yo Im just now finding out they're making an album together. TIGHT!

But the only part of the song that was good were like the first few bars of Jay's verse.

THey cought/shoulda did better.

Not wack like ppl claiming in here though. Jay-Z and Kanye together though? Im sure it only gets better from here. Even this mediocre shit has value.

LOL look at this from Vibe Magazine with Jim Jones on whi he think will have the edge on Watch The Throne..

I ain’t gon’ front, on the last few tracks, Kanye had been getting the best of Jay, and that’s just from a fan’s point of view. Jay is one of the nicest niggas to ever do this shit, you can’t take that from him. But Kanye is vicious, his wordplay is vicious, his harmony is vicious and then he keep a good beat on top. Whatever it is, they both goin’ to be sharp—trust me. It definitely ain’t gon’ be a one-way street. It should be good for music, good for hip-hop, as long as they don’t start rapping about too much strange shit.

Weren't these dudes beefing a while back?

Grown men can give props where props are due.

As far as this song goes, I like Jay and I like Kanye, and I feel like the only reason I'll listen to this song is because they're on it. But honestly, it gives me a strange feeling, the same feeling Diddy and Rick Ross' "Another One" does. Like that guy said a while ago, Kanye's image conflicts with the idea of "going HAM" and Jay is a bit too old/mature to be "going HAM". But with all that said, I'm sure Watch The Throne won't sound like this from beginning to end.

However, I am going to need more than just two verses for each song... That shit bothers me.
