My opinion: If you pop in College Dropout, then listen to HAM, you would almost definitely say Ye's verse on here was trash. On the contrary, comparing HAM to his recent efforts, it was still just OK. Jay-Z was good here. Again on par with his recent stuff but not really what a hardcore Jay fan would want to hear. As far as the beat I personally found it a bit awkward for these two. A bad selection.

As far as this song goes, I like Jay and I like Kanye, and I feel like the only reason I'll listen to this song is because they're on it. But honestly, it gives me a strange feeling, the same feeling Diddy and Rick Ross' "Another One" does. Like that guy said a while ago, Kanye's image conflicts with the idea of "going HAM" and Jay is a bit too old/mature to be "going HAM". But with all that said, I'm sure Watch The Throne won't sound like this from beginning to end.
