That isn't limited to just white people, that's society for ya. For example, even though Madonna's white, she's accepted even though some of her records aren't politically correct especially for a female. She's always been opinionated. Another example is Pac. Dude spoke his mind, but he was one of the most popular rappers of his time even within the white community. Society in general found both Madonna and Pac's music as unacceptable and tried to take them to task over their lyrical content.

I love how people try to say that any of the backlash that Kanye receives is a result of the Taylor Swift incident or white folk in general. Dude is still one of the top selling artists in the game. If we want to point fingers at what white folk did to a Black artist, we should be looking at what happened to Janet Jackson's career after nipplegate. She was literally banned from the Grammys after that when one what happened at the Superbowl had nothing to with her appearing on the Grammys.
