lol its similar but I dont think he straight up bit his sound from him, the 808's influence was pretty obvious on So Far Gone

A better question would be, who in the hell in really reaching out for his beats, i think it's safe to say Drake makes him and not the other way around. Nigga needs to set his target a little lower to someone like Jae Millz. lmfao

Yea but the industry is full of sheep. so i'm sure execs are like hey call up these guys who helped produce for Drake to see if we can get a similar sounding track. jae millz need to go get a real job

I think it's better like that. Not everyone needs the same sound. Drake has his own sound. I rather not hear every rapper on 40's production.

True but at some point what if Drake decides to go in another direction and homie is left out in the cold. it doesn't take too much for a rapper to all of the sudden want to try something different. It would be smart for the producer to have a working relationship with others in case that happens. Or they could just have a falling out.

Rae and Ghost aren’t the only ones that don’t like a shark biter. Drake’s producer, Noah “40″ Shebib tells VIBE in the Aug/Sept issue that Ye cursed him out for “borrowing” his sound.

“I can’t even be mad him,” says 40 [short for working 40 Days and 40 Nights…Noah’s ark, get it?) “Because the last CD I listened to before I started working on So Far Gone was 808s & Heartbreak.”

Ah, that explains it. But Yeezy doesn’t have to worry about 40 stepping on his toes. He’s only interested in working with two artists.

“At this point in time, the only rappers I have any interesting in working with outside of Drake are Wayne and Jay,” 40 says flatly. “I think Drake has been so instrumental in creating that sound that I have a commitment to him. If he doesn’t want me to give it away, I won’t.

gay gay gay!

on the real 40 a good dude he really sick and prolly wont be alive that much longer

Dude been diagnosed with MS. but some people live 10, 15 years with it, not saying he could actually work that long, its not good!Shit takes over the body. But 40 will be good as long as Drake is good. And I think he just wants to work with Wayne and Jay cause thats his dream. Shit is not always about the money, especially when you have something happen in your life that changes priorities. All the money in the world couldn't get him a cure!

Nggas is so small minded

'He bit him???, cmon son.

In the world of producing, where 70's soul singers r jay-jerked everyday, does Kanye really have a gripe here.

40 sounds no more 'like Kanye' than Jus Blaze does...

And on the track 'Last Call' off of 'The College Dropout' album, didn't Kanye admit to biting part of Dr. Dre's style? The irony here. Oh how quickly niggas get convienient amnesia......

Thats what im saying. there were also alternative rap albums out before 808's. kamaal the abstract, the love below, and electric circus all tried that formula before. only thing different was the autotune
