Yup! Majority but not all of these lawsuits nowadays get thrown out. Most of the original artist dont own their publishing so record companies clear it with does. It's sad really but these artist really are entitled to nothing.

Clyde Stubblefield has received not 1 cent from Funky Drummer. He sued years ago & got nothing. That sample has been used 100 times at least. He said alot of older musicians dont own their own publishing.

He probably knows this, but sued anyway to get the press that would come with it. Sucks for Kanye though, most people probably wont know if/when the suit gets thrown out.
