Theres a lot of great spitters out there.Im just sayin the name (Kendrick x kanye) or situation (new kanye) shouldn't influence your reaction ...in other words, niggas are gassin it

easy to say to you not in the know.

lets start with the beat....the producer, for one, a collab many never thought could happen, happens. Highlight 1. The sample....listen to the OG, Junie Morrison record. Not only is that obscure, it was flipped beautifully. You call it bland, maybe you don't know the mechanics in what goes into making drums not only fit the sample and not overpower and sit on top of it. But to still have enough knock. You can play this in a drop riding down Hollywood Blvd and Slauson and still catch that feeling. SO not only does the invoke certain emotions, its relative to the topic. Highlights 2, 3 and 4.

to the rappers...start with Kendrick. Don't know what you was expecting to hear outta this niggas mouth. Surreal picture painted from the start of the niggas verse....what's not to feel about that? Like any story, its tends to start slow then picks up, his flow gets nice like we know it can.

On to Ye....again, are you listening to the lyrics, or just expecting somethin? Honestly go back and listen to old Kayne if you thought you was gon hear some lyrical miracle Kanye shit. His niche has always been reality raps as they relate to his life. (Got a bald fade, I might slam). He was damn near venting on this track.

Bottom line, niggas got they want expect from two pretty damn good rappers and producer. At this point, if a nigga saying they don't like it, its because it was never his speed to begin with.

Man yall had a nigga thinking this was the hottest shit. smh. I like the song but yall are just overhyping shit

Basically

Up until Kanye's second verse , snoozefest

Beat is non-exisrent. Bland. Which wouldn't be a problem, but its made to be a backdrop for a cypher, to go IN. Not either 1 of these dudes strong points.Just rapping for a LONG time does not = going IN.

But Kanyes 2nd verse makes it solid vs just avg

So you gonna sit there with a straight face and say neither Kendrick or Ye can't or have never GONE IN on a beat? You gotta be fuckin kiddin me.

Kanye and Pusha on Sway freestyle was mean. Kendrick on Nosetalgia is 'spazzing'. Kendrick on Ball Game by Smoke Dza is 'spazzing' . So that addresses whether im biased. Im not. Im a fan.

This was....COOL. It was cool. So the reaction from yall is borderline troll-ish and clearly motivated by the moment . Like ....yall forreal? Lol Props to Kanye for spitting so long and so much specific shit but, 'OH, MY, GOODNESS!!!' is PERSONALLY not the vibe i get here. Not by the lyrics and def not by the beat.

you can't be for real right now...

ask yourself, why does a Aerosmith/Run DMC collab matter? Why is a Premo and Christina Aguilera album significant to some people? Does it affect listeners if they heard the Grap Luva beat for TROY or the Pete Rock version?

You asking dumb questions if you made it past the first one. Its the culmination of things that can make a song significant. Who the hell is listening to Kanye and KDot collab and expecting to be like "GOTDAMN RUN THAT BACK"? Nigga nobody. Not even you. There's quips, they're cleverly placed, snide lines here and there. Its complete.

^^ first thing I did when I heard the snippet version was google the lyrics "let me tell you I'm out here, from a very far away place" and downloaded that song. Had to have it.

word, the only Junie albums I could ever find were this and the "Freeze" record.

Finally got around to this song. Incredible. Yall probably chopped this up to pieces by now, but this that Ye we been looking for. He wasn't on beat at times but fuck the nickpicking - his effort to bring them bars is enuff for me. Can't wait for that album

Are you serious? chill b.

I can post countless songs where both these niggas go in. K dot Especially, I'm not saying Kendrick is the best to ever spit,or even top 25, but he's very capable of going "in". he's one of those rappers.

I felt Ye voice/and delivery more since he didn't do the alter voice thing on some Eminem crap like k dot did

The first page is has so much dickriding I felt uncomfortable reading the comments.

From all the hype over the net about this song I expected something better. The beat is annoying and the samples are oddly placed. I can't listen to this shit it gives me a headache.

To each his own, maybe after a few more listens I'll get it, but some of ya'll need to sit down and get off these niggas nuts, for real.
