Actually, the Black Eminem is AZ. Please listen to his verse on Executive Decision, and tell me that Eminem didn't bite his style. This song was released years before Eminem came out.



Don't get me wrong, I luv Eminem, but I'm just giving credit where credit is due. As for Canibus, he's the only rapper that could fuck with Eminem. I can't figure out which one of them are better, after Canibus dropped the C of tranquility I thought he was the best, now that I'm hearing recovery, I think Eminem is better. When it comes down to it, Eminem has a better flow, and Canibus has better rhymes.

Like I said, Canibus' word choicage hoists deep concepts, but he does nothing to relate them or string them together in order establish any sort of grounded meaning.

Tupac was a great enterntainer and maybe even an exceptional emcee as far as capturing the crowd's attention....but he prolly is slightly below canibus's level in lyricism....going by ur standard and mines.....

and to take it further.....for the sake of understanding what I'm sayin and hip hop in general.....Tupac is the person you would want somebody who didnt listen to hip hop to listen to......

He can go toe to toe with any of them in terms of describing something literal to it's capacity to be explained, but can then go into the realm of abstract / surrealist imagery and metaphors.

No other emcee can do this as well and as efficiently as Lupe.

Top tier literal lyricism and skill + Clearly communicated surrealism and relevant metaphors + Cleverness establishes Lupe as the greatest.

Canibus is a dope lyricist....i think a bunch of the names that have already been mentioned could fuck with him.....em/nas/pun/rakim/the list goes on. 1 think i like about Canibus and other guys like Pun, Nas, Em is their breath control when they are spitting long multis and shit.
