5 or 6 years ago, no. but current juelz really isnt as good as he used to be, and imo right now vado is better than juelz. plus for the dipset reunion you gotta have the connection that they all had before (no homo) to make it work, and i dont think they would have had that. jim and cam made up, but you could tell juelz and cam still werent that cool. vado and cam are tight, so you just have to have jimmy and vado get along which im sure they do.

This is that same ol' same ol' shit with Manhattan rappers that I was talking about in the Borough thread. U just can't depend on these cats. They're always gettin' locked up or quitting. Juelz does both. In March 2009 Juelz was almost caught in a similar scenario. Juelz should do a Loso and back a way from the streets a bit, but unlike Los, Juelz don't care about his rap career.

your right, but im sure that they have some juelz verses recorded for it. i know they got salute and that song with dre, so as long as its classic dips on the singles and a few album cuts then i feel like they would be fine finishing up the album with vado instead. but thats only is they already have most of it done and just need like 5 songs to finish up. if they havent done anything yet other than2 or 3 songs then it might fuck things up.

but no matter what juelz will probably make bail, and have a month or so to record verses so if it handles his business right they might be good.

and co-sign those interviews being awkward. it was strange to watch, like the vibe was wrong between those two.

yeah, the weed isnt all that bad, a good lawyer should be able to get him down to a few months or even probation/community service for that. but the guns AND weed combined are going to fuck him over.

Manhattan rappers are the most entertaining, but them coming back to the forefront as NYC reps from 2000-2006 is what I think threw NY off. When Queens took the game in the mid to late 80's along with BX, NY was strong. BK & Staten Island led NY in the 90's and we all know how great that was, but when the weight of leadership fell on Cam, Jim & Juelz in the 00's, they couldn't hold it down like the other boroughs.

In Hip Hop Culture many of us depend on NYC, NY State & the Tri State with Philly included. Hip Hop was the shit when the whole region was poppin.' So, when BK & Staten Island started to wane, people were depending on Manhattan, they had a lot of cats that could have been bigger than what they are. They could have led the city. It's the same when Gucci, Wayne & TI go to jail or when Pimp C dies. It hurts the south just like Manhattan being dysfunctional hurts the Northeast.

The other boroughs are more street than these guys and they can stay out of jail and release good music on a regular basis. Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island are the most consistent of all time. Mainstream or not. Run DMC taking it from Kurtis Blow was the best thing that happened because we all know Queens can take the weight. Even today, King's County's Hov and Queen's Barbie ain't playing out chea. Unlike these Manhattan dudes.
