Redman is the best rapper from Jersey because of longevity and undisputed classic albums. Joe has classic mixtapes, but if he were an athlete, he is the type to take off plays. Some of his features, albums, etc. are so obviously made to just keep the lights on, it lessens him in my eyes. And I'm a huge Joe Budden fan.
When dude is the zone, he is on the lower half of Top 10, dead or alive. But no one can so shamelessly turn off of their own mojo--when Joe is detached, lost on some bullshit, whatever the case, it is so obvious to us real fans. Some of his radio freestyles have been slipping, too, for the same reason. He seems to lack focus. He can spit harder, more lyrical, and just better than anybody in Slaughterhouse..yet when I hear SH tracks, he is rarely the hottest on the track. SMH.
