nobody said jimmy smith wasnt great. He is. U picked the wrong player to compare him to. Cris Carter is overrated so its a fair assessment there. But irvin was far better than both them niggas

Lmao at C.C. being overrated even though he got 60 more TD catches then Irvin.

You niggas act like we aint have Fred Taylor and FOH with all these excuses for for Irvin numbers. Jimmy aint even play his 1st two years in the league, throw in the suspensions and he missed out on having far better numbers too. If you've never seen Jimmy Smith play, bite your tongue and one game don't count.

lol so now you a jags fan?

gtfoh!

Liked Jimmy's career, and dude was always under the radar to me.
But I cannot co-sign this fuckery that is your argument of him being better than Chris Carter and/or Michael Irvin.

At no point was Jimmy Smith ever in the conversation for top 5 receivers from my memory. It was always Rice, Irvin,Andre Rison, Reed and Sterlin Sharpe. I don't ever recall dude being in that conversation to be honest.

well Jimmy Smith was easily better than Reed and Rison so i dont know why you brought them up, justcause you aint hear him in discussion dont mean he wasnt one of the best

Yes. Playing more seasons, in a westcoast offense, with Randy moss getting covered by 3 of the DBs every fuckin down. Cris Carter was never better than Irvin. He just played longer

im well aware of cris carter's history. Are you aware of the type of offense they ran in Minnesota? Playing with warren moon and alongside jake reed? Dallas was a run first offense. Irvin put up better numbers in less opportunities. Cris Carter didnt do shit until he was 29. Like i said Irvin was better. Cris Carter had a system that allowed him to rack up numbers. Irvin did it without that shit. Cris Carter just happened to play longer which is why his numbers are greater

C.C.didn't play at all during his first cpl years

And C.C. didn't have a HOF RB, QB, Coach, lineman etc. Plus the cowboys had the most money in a league that didn't have a salary cap.

i wouldn't debate it at all I'm taking Mike Irvin all day every day over CC. shit I'm taking Sterling Sharpe all day every day over CC.

Ok. You a moron ROFL. You just gave the dumbest excuse. Warren Moon >>> Aikman. Easily. He also played with Randall Cunningham. A multiple probowl quarterback. RB advantage goes to dallas. The offense was run first. Carter got to play in a west coast offense that catered to qbs and wrs. Carter was coached by buddy ryan, dennis green, and even had brian billick as a coordinator. To act like his coaching staff wasnt great is ridiculous nigga.

That nigga played with Jake Reed and then Randy Moss. Opening up the rest of the field for that nigga. Plus it was a westcoast offense. Irivin put up numbers as the main target in an offense that didnt even utilize his skillset to its maximum.

Warren Moon + jake reed + moss + westcoast offense >>> Run first offense and wackass aikman

Carter wasnt getting TDs being triple covered like Irvin for years
