What killed Jeru at the time was his falling out with Primo. He put out music after Wrath of the Math but it didn't have that same feel.

That's the understatement of the year

First Two LP's Are East Coast Classics.....Black Cowboys Me Not The Papes Come The Frustrated Nigga Clean Ya Playin Ya Self ...All Them Shits Were BANGIN...Jay Electronica Reminds Me A Lot Of Jeru

now that you say that I see that too jeru and jay elect are pretty similar. must be the 5%er style they both evoke through their lyrics

Dope dope dope dope dope..love his first 3 joints especially. Had alot of gems on them DJ Honda albums too (Mos Def had gems too and many others..).

Dude is a clever emcee with dope metaphors and a dope content. Dude does a great job off not coming off too "preachy" (hate that term btw) or "boring" IMO. He gets his message across in a creative way. Listen to his first 3 albums.

Crazy dope, crazy underrated. A real street brutha with knowledge. He's still doing his thing overseas where the Hip-Hop scene is real.

One of my favorite songs:

HATE when people in the states say this shit. Biggest LIE ever!

Then explain why real emcees like Jeru can tour all year over there vs. in the states where he couldn't fill a classroom.

Super-Heroes for Hire was a okay album but I didn't mess with anything after that from him

I remember loving "Come Clean" as a kid back in the 90's, I had to be about 8 or 9 when it came out. That first album and "Wrath of the Math" are still my shit.

One of my favorites is "Brooklyn Took It", it just makes me feel a certain way whenever it comes on.
