Game already successfully made his comeback last year with arguably the best rap album of the year.....Documentary 2/2.5

I agree somewhat bruh...Documentary 2.5 was good record...but it wasn't the original or Doctor's Advocate

But honestly my opinion on who had the best chance was The Game too...there really never was a great to follow his first two albums...

Lupe's message feels dated in this current climate...

Jeezy followed up his early work by solid if not great records...

IMO, that leaves The Game to really deliver

That album was sonically and lyrically way better than Doctor's Advocate. The only reason I feel why cats will put those 2 albums over it is because their nostalgic experiences override logic. That's completely normal tho, it's part of what makes us realise some albums as classics and some albums as not. It's extremely difficult to really compete with that and win.

I really disagree with that..the doctors advocate was better than the orignal imo...

Compton, the doctors advocate, and lookin at you would be the best 3 tracks on his newest record...

But he never completed that true dope trilogy...

Jeezy ALMOST did it...Lupe SHOULDVE did it (T&Y was great but it was a different Lupe)...

But we never got another truly great one from The Game

Comeback in terms of mainstream? I think that ship has sailed for all 3 of them.

We're are gonna start judging albums differently (if we havnt already) by the way it affects the public due to the internet. Its a completely diff game than what it was in 2005. Fair or not. Personally, Im already over the "sales" thing cause they dont count them the same on top of the majority of the sales dont come from real "Hip Hoppers".

Jeezy is not washed musically, just say y'all weren't feeling It or u never liked him lyrically, that track with bankroll is a banger n it ain't even out yet, politically correct was pure flames

I never cared about sales ain't like they're cutting me a % of their sales.

This is the same Jeezy since 101 minus the content. Hes one dimensional. Same flow, same tempo, he lives off production, hooks and adlibs .

Sounds like Im hating but its the truth :s

Lol that's not the same flow either, is it a dope song or not is all I'm worried about with him anyway. Let's not act like game n Lupe not doing things they came in the game with

Plus those who have listened to him over the last few years can tell u there has at least been some semblance of growth, the title track politically correct is not the subject matter jeezy came in the game with. He's not the lyricist the other 2 are but the music is just as good throughout they careers

Let's not act like living off production is a hindrance either. Trust me game n Lupe could definitely use the consistency in that department that jeezy has had

It is a hindrance tho cause if he rapped over regular ass beats you wouldnt listen to him cause hes not lyrically inclined to make the song better than the beat outside of what I just mentioned like the other 2 are able to do(Lupe more so than Game). It works for Jeezy cause he lives in Atlanta/The South, home of making a living off dope beats. Dont try and downplay this cause u know its true. Again, Im not hating on dude, I respect him but it is what it is. He'll never be Big Boi, Cee-Lo, Killer Mike, TI, Luda etc...and thats fine, he has his lane.

No one ever puts him in there level lyrically any way

Idk how it's a hindrance, Jeezy came up with trap or die not the beat, jeezy came up with standing ovation not the beat, and I don't see how where he's from has anything to do with it. I personally don't care how lyrically inclined anyone is if they don't care enough as an artist to choose a dope beat to rap that dope shit on, part of y I don't fool with them as much as jeezy or the artists u mentioned. It's not like game or Lupe turn their regular beats to gold, it's just for y'all their raps are impressive enough to overcome it

They good. 3+ years of being at the top of the game (most emcees of their caliber can't even get their foot in the door, let alone be on top for that long), at least two classics a piece, gold and platinum albums, and can still drop material that'll have the streets buzzing today. The better part of their years have passed them, but I think they had solid careers and the respect of legends.

And not for nothing, but... "Last time I checked, I was the man on these streets".

Game & Lupe doin fine to me.

Jeezy on the other hand, didnt the whole "Pastor Jeezy" thing come and go? Cause he back to snowman stuff. From what I remember folks wasnt feelin his last album too much.

Yeah peezy you disagree with the notion and thats fine but politically correct was trash and in that thread ppl were disappointed but hey YOU liked it. Doesn't take away from him falling off musically because he did and I don't get how a person could not say he did
