Niggas want say a nigga can't have six classic just because. That's stupid. If a niggas has an album of ultra quality then yes it might be a classic. Nigga can make 10-15 albums and 6 be classics. You have artist like Nas, Common, Ghostface, MF Doom who have 4 classics or better. Its not impossible. But does Jay-Z have 6.....this is the same guy who told you he sold crack so you didn't have to go through that and thought he had 3 classic before completing the Blueprint. Hell no he don't have 6.

DOOM is my guy but idk bout him having 4 classics. I give him 2 tho & a possible with Operation Doomsday so maybe 3.

The shit i hear some people calling classic ie To Pimp a Butterfly.

Man foreal niggas finna let Urban Legend in the vault but tell you Jay only got a classic or 2.... Ain't no way y'all gonna tell me Jay and T.I. got the same number of classics lol

I dont think any one of the Vol albums could be considered a classic cause in retrospect none of them stick out that much, compared to the other two. Of course they were all significant for Jays career and had classic songs on them. But in terms of impact none of them compare to the all time great albums. Plus they all had some fillers on em

He could have said all my albums are solid but 3 of them are exceptional. That's a stretch too but at least we can take him seriously if he said that

He's reaching with WTT big time. I voted 5 but I'm more inclined to say 4 as I think about it. AG is great but I think it falls sort of classic.

RD, Vol.2, Blueprint and American Gangster are his best works. I can play those albums all the way through to this day.

Y'all don't think In My Lifetime was a classic?

Nah. Even Jay felt that wasn't his best work. There were some jems on that album though. Had he made it an EP with these songs:

Intro: A Million and One Questions/Rhyme No More

Imaginary Player

Streets Is Watching

Friend or Foe '98

Lucky Me

Who You Wit II

Face Off (Ft. Sauce Money)

Real Niggaz (Ft. Too $hort)

Where I'm From

You Must Love Me Lyrics

Wishing on a Star (Ft. Gwen Dickey)

The others shouldn't have made the album.
