As for the price of the stuff, i hear no one shitting on Versace, Christian Dior, etc for their prices but as soon as Jay or Kanye does it it's news story. Then of course niggas fall for the ookie doke, because we carry a crab in a barrel mentality.

If anybody, you (and Jayz) are the main crabs in that barrell.

The prices aren't the main problem, its the fact he's selling his product out of a store that don't want his people shopping in it (the same ppl who helped make him successful). He's a coon to highest degree. He doesn't care about Barney's being racist aslong he gets his money. He's selling his product to the 1% of the country who rooted for George Zimmerman to go free. I don't think Jayz even sees himself as a black anymore

the real question is..... why has hiphop been bending over for white people now more then ever? the white hiphop takeover is on its way!

its like hiphop has to appeal to white pop culture first then urban culture second. wtf

Camel jockeys are a very confused species as they seemingly defend their master only to turn and say some contradictory shit the very next second. The problem that is targeted by the thread I made is just that Jay Z is the type who is bending over for white hiphop. Now I don't know if you were referring to Jay Z as well since you defended him a comment above and all of them threads were ugly as shit anyway, same leather OD religious imprints kind of stuff we've been seeing since Givenchy kicked off in 2011.

That trend is about to die out just like football jerseys and fitted caps did, remember that? Yeah, exactly.

Why the belt over the coat though?

I haven't kept up with this much, but I never understood something. Wasn't the incident due to the actions of one store employee? Why are people acting like the whole company should be shunned because one low level worker did something racist?

Here's the whole article.

Some more fuckery from Barneys
http://pix11.com/2013/10/23/black-t...lly-arresting-him-for-stealing-designer-belt/

There's actually more to the Barneys scandal than a Harlem youngin' taking questionable fashion cues from Juelz Santana.

lol my nigga you really spelled fashion with a z at the end?

how you the king of fashion when you probally still rocking a g-unit hoodie reminiscing about when 50 cent actually had a rap career

Excuse mon haute couture swag but this is how a classy ass nigga roll.

See that there, yes I do still wear G-Unit clothing trying to recapture the glory of the heydays but on the other hand there is a whole influential fashunz movement devoted to that, it's called Americana. Personally I know a lot of people in the world of fashunz and the other day my man Karl Lagerfeld praised me for my blend of Vintage and contemporary style. That's my word son.

Oh ok, fair enough. I hadn't followed the story much. It just seemed like people were trying to kill the company for what seemed to be an isolated incident. If we wanted to shut down every business that had a racist employee, the global economy would come to a screeching halt.

I'm with you on that definitely, I didn't even know half of the stuff Barneys been behind after I started reading up on them more after that incident with the kid buying a Hermes belt. Integrity has to triumph necessity sometimes.

Coo, I see whatchu sayin. I guess I prefer the coat because in buying any of this expensive shit, the overall point is to try to flex. If I walk up on a bish with the coat, she'll immediately peep the fact that I got on some quality lux jacket. She won't see the belt unless she's lookin' for it.

Niggas was really expecting to see roc a wear and $5.99 t's in Barney's lol.....I guess if jay made a deal with Ferrari to create a car it should come with a Toyota Camry price tag to show he's "for the people"...niggas really don't like to see each other make money last time I checked roc a wear didn't go out of business and it's affordable why can't you just go buy that???

its alot of onsie pajama wearing ass niggas up in here...lol

to think Barney's target audience (which isn't black but who really gives a shit...they never were before the incident anyway) would'nt pay for his shyt which in turn goes into his BLACK OWNED charity is ridiculous.....me personally i dont give a fuck about Barney's or a $58k croc hide jacket designed by Jay-Z

just go support Trukfit and OVO if you have a problem wit Jay-Z's business

You missed the point. This store has blatantly shown us that they don't want black people shopping in their stores. So why do business with people like that? If Jay Z was doing business with another high end store that wasn't doing shit like Barney's then no one would be complaining.

If that REALLY is the case (which let's all be honest it's not it's just cuz it was jay doing business with them) then why don't ppl harass diddy, or lil wayne, or usher for the deals they have with Macy's when they've been well known to do the exact same thing??? Is it the battle y'all worried about or is it the rapper in the middle of the battle that y'all worried about.

minorities have been getting profiled in stores for decades; whether the store be macy's barney's nordstroms, neiman marcus, bergdorf, etc..this shit ain't nothing

B/c you're a known Jay stan nggas peeped the messenger and not the message , but this is 100% right

*Chris Rock voice* "Only the WHITE man"...can blindly make a profit in America.

But thats only to the point of making profit based on high end fashion.

As for the deal itself, I do agree that Jay, of all people, has enough money to make a stand and not deal with Barneys. What make sit even sadder is white people back out of deals with black celebs who get in trouble all the time. To 'protect' their brand. nd here Jay couldnt even do it. I never use this term, but he sold out in this instance.

*laughs at niggas complaining about the prices of jackets they had no interest of buying in the first place*

some of you are upset that the common man cant afford such a thing, while ignoring sometimes the common doesnt give a fuck

This thread shows why blacks remain @ the bottom. I remained silent but now I have to give my opinion. Titangraph coming. I don't post for reactions so get your no-signs, feelings and wacks ready and KIM IDGAF.

When the story broke about that soft n*gga that got profiled for buying that overpriced belt I told ya'll these high end fashion stores deliberately create barriers because they don't want black costumers. Those brands feel they'd devaluate if they'd let black folks shop. Those articles TS posted confirmed what I've been saying all along.

I got a question for all you n*ggas that are up in arms about Jigga still doing business with Barney's. What real alternative are you n*ggas/ black people in general offering to Jay Z? You don't even know how to circulate money within your own communities. Matter of fact, you don't even have no real communities. Most retail is owned by outsiders who, similar to Barney's, don't care about blacks. That never stopped you guys from frequenting their stores, sending their kids through college. If a black men or woman wants to work a square job 9 out of 10 he has to go to an outsider. The generations before you haven't built anything.

I'd wish you guys would reserve some of that vitriol and outrage for these outsiders that drain money from your communities and don't give anything back. You even allowed non-blacks to corner the market on stuff that blacks use exclusively like black hair products lol. You ain't up in arms about these Koreans making a grip out of your women's insecurity and selfhate, crying about how they "should give back to the community" like you do to Jay. The black hair industry is a billion $ industry. In Europe it's a similar story but instead of Koreans coolies cornered the market.

I don't know what Jigga severing ties with Barney's would help other than make some of you crab n*ggas happy. In a week or two you'd forget all about that sh*t anyway. How's that boycott in Florida going? Who still talking about Trayvon?

N*ggas need to ask themselves why they wanna remain consumers and waste money on trinkets in the first place. N*ggas should ask themselves why their sense of selfworth is so low they'd wanna force money down the pockets of people who don't accept 'em and made it clear they don't want their money. N*ggas need to ask themselves why they wanna spend money they don't got on items they don't need to impress other n*ggas they don't even like or need. Get off that consumer mentality and stop acting like blacks who made it need to give back, like a Jigga ows you something. I saw some of you litterally saying stuff like Jigga should give back to the community and sh*t like that. This ain't communism FOH.

Got nothing against Al Sharpton but he was basically trying to act like Barney's should treat black costumers with respect 'n sh*t while he should focus on blacks circulating their money in their own community like every race is doing. F*ck forcing them to take your money when they made it clear they don't want your money. Have some g*@damn pride for once. These haute couture brands showed you time and time again they don't want your money. I hope Jigga gets every penny out of these guys. Why not? This is business. That hate Jigga gets for makingbusiness moves is unwarranted.
