Here is EXHIBIT A. Also check out his Eternal Sunshine mixtape, thats how i first knew about him. Then i saw him live along with Mos Def last year, freaking dope dope concert. He is pretty pretty dope man.

To me J Cole is the most versatile out of all these new dudes, he can do the mainstream shit while maintain the respect of the heads, streets,etc. Drake is pretty much a mainstream rapper and Jay Electronica is a backpack rapper.

Jay Electronica is nice but he isn't a very accessible artist. His beat selection is madd pedestrian and his content is the equivalent of going to a museum in the sense that, you appreciate the art...but it doesn't really connect to you. I got J.Cole higher on my list than Jay Electronica because Cole is nice lyrically and at the same time his production/beat selection is better than Jay Elect, He knows how to create songs while Jay only knows how to create complicated verses over movie scores, AND his content hits the average person more than Jay Elect. Being lyrical isn't the only thing that matters. To me, aside from 3 or 4 tracks, Jay Elect doesnt make good music. He just makes good verses. I don't see a good album coming from him like I see one coming from J.cole (or even Drake).
