a record label can destroy a artist as fast as it can build them up

think about all the artist that got shelved that almost fell off the map

when the label does you dirty you take a huge hit as an artist especially if you're under some ill contract

all I'm sayin is the labels be scared to gamble or go against the grain sometime and in turn they damage the artist

they might not feel like they have that " SINGLE" that they are lookin for so it seems like they haven't invested too much in him yet

and i completely understand that he probally don't got a radio hit....BUT the dude could at least put out a mixtape for his fans who dig his current non mainstream stuff and thats what i don't get and nobody from his camp or him seem to have answers on that. If he got all this "music" then he can release a mixtape at least. Otherwise he need to call it a care.

Saigon is a nice mc, but he ain't special nice, to me dude is on the level of a Royce, Buddens,etc. I think Jay E has the ability to make something special with his debut and the right push behind him, it's up to his work ethic.

Jay elect can spit, his topic/direction isn't necessarily predictable and he chooses some beats that are to my liking...mainly the theatrical/movie score type shit like the stuff on Eternal Sunshine and beats like Abracadabra. I really hope his album doesn't disappoint me. I don't want to see him "cater" at all, just do him.
