Fanbase is what's important nowadays more than anything else along with touring, look at Kid Cudi for god sakes releasing a album with no hit record and doing 200,000. Yall are too cought up with the album sales, concert money > album money

You should read the thread about what Premo (dj premier) talked about earlier. Artist (rappers) are suppose to break in the street first then mainstream America crosses over to them, people can tell when you are force feeding cross over records, they'll buy a single (Flo Ridah, Pitbull) but wont buy your album. If you look at the artist who consistently sell millions the mainstream crossed over to them (TI with Trap Music, 50 Cent with Get Rich,etc). The shit has to be organic, it's happening with Cole as we speak right now
