More than likely Just Blaze brokered the deal and will look over dudes career, if J Cole can pretty much do the type of music he wants i doubt Jay E will do something against his will. This is good for Jay E, he can continue to grow his fanbase through touring and work on his album at his pace.

i dont think he is lazy per say but i guess he just doesn't wanna flood the market with too much music, he is putting out just enough to tide people over until he drops his debut album. the people that flood the market tend to put out sub par stuff (for the most part)
