Stop it. That album wasn't a 9 out of 10.

Negro you're opinion is about as valid as mine, that's why it's called a fucking opinion. Most of the critical reviews had it in the 4-4.5 rating anyways wich is in the 8-9 range.

Haven't been really feeling Jay music outside of some features and some songs on each album since AG (I still rather hear the original Ignorant Shit) but I can understand wanting to build and expand your music to make it more rounded and relatable to different audiences.

In the end all niggas will say is they want the old Jay, but don't want him to rap about the subjects he use to rap about, they want more socially aware music from him, though many of those who say this don't bump conscious music like that and have said they will go to the library if they need to be schooled, and they're tired of the bragging verses, but thinks he's silly going out of his lane... so damned if you do, damned if you don't

Watch The Throne: Was pretty damn good, to see its average or below average is stupid. Compare it to any other album in its lane of recent and see where it ranks.

BP3: Has some shit that left me scratchin my head, but like Jay said, he was "On To The Next One" and thats exactly what he was tryin to do there plus he had like the fuckin anthems of the year crackin on that shit.....I still get the "angry face" on when Run This Town comes on the radio or whatever, shit baaaaaaaaangs. BP3 was good.

American Gangster: One of Jays BEST EVER. Unbelievable from start to finish, the whole sound of the project was dooooooope. I think I personally even put it on that R.D level.

Kingdome Come: eh, different. I would say average but at the same time, I see what he was doin there, he was on that "On To The Next One" shit, but I guess we weren't ready for it.

............Overrall, T/S I think your trippin, aint shit wack or bad out of that line up and the shit you call average, a whole lot of people could give you a whole lot of reasons why we big to differ.

Besides, if Nas comin out like he did on "Nasty", I think Jay might just get back on that lyrical bully shit, coz look at the people he signs, he obviously still about the lyrics in his own mind, thats what he wants and thats what Nas comin with, Eminem signin Slaughterhouse and shit, I think he might just be taken notice.....

uhh...what? I'll admit that a lot of the posters on here overhate on jay's shit. bp3 has some alright songs, and the first couple songs on kc are crack but they're not on some 'grow with em or get left behind' shit

in terms of subject matter is what i meant to specifically say

If we are allowed to keep if real (for once) in the IC: American Gangster is easily one of the best abums dropped in the mid 00's.

The thing is Jay-Z always comes hard lyrically. I relistening to Kingdom Come a few days ago and dude still spits. I was catching double entandres that I didnt catch for all these years.

BP3 was DECENT and American Gangter was a classic to me. I can play it front to back every track. But its not critically acclaimed and I understand im int he minority on that one.

But anyway, YEAH his old ass needs a damn good album LOL Cuz this shit with Kanye was cool...but it wasnt as good as it shoulda/woulda/coulda been.

You retarded ass jigga warriors stay in denial and you're bias as fuck with asinine comments like Blueprint 3 was a good album, Really? Fuckin REALLY?!!!! I mean honesty, what was good about it somebody please let me know! Horrible New York tribute, I thought D.O.A was a very forgetable first single and once Wayne rapped on it and killed the same beat on no ceilings I was really ashamed for Jay. THE MAN CAME OUT WITH "FOREVER YOUNG" FOR CRYIN OUT FUCKIN LOUD!!!! That song is unbelievably horrible and don't resemble hip hop and just reeks of wackness, how can yall defend this man after that shit? I just wanna throw up....All this dickriding this man who truth be told has never been consistant from RD to WTT is down right discusting!! I don't know why he gets such a pass for being a wack nigga with low substance but come on now....yall treat this man like he's the king of all kings and he gets outshined allot rapping with other rappers. WTT was a nice Kanye album featuring Jay to me. You niggas condone too much from this man and then wanna nit pick other rappers that are better than him like Nas, Pac, and any Big.....Big L....Big Pun....Notorious, I mean I don't know what's the matter wit you niggas when it comes to this Jay love affair. Vol 1 trash, Blueprint 2 coulda been an ok single album if he deleted like 12 joints and added some heaters with better beats but instead ,,worse double CD of all time. Kingdom Come...terrible and so obscure I can't even name three songs on it AND I ACTUALLY OWNed THE CD before I came to my sences and gave it away. Blueprint 3, shame on anybody that bought that shit and didn't try to get they money back. That's 4 uncondoanable albums from a guy who is suppose to be the GOD mcee. Wow

Jay surpassed all of these artist, a loooooooong time ago, tho.
Vo. 1 is very underrated.
Your only naming his low hitting albums. What bout V.2? The Black Album and American Gangster?
No need to even bring up Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt..

Jays catalog is easily comparable to Nas, Pac and Biggies.

lol at this nigga jek below writing national honor society essay type shit with caps and bolded shit to actually add an effect to shit. As I stated earlier why do niggas want/expect another fire album from hov. I hate to break it to niggas but you not getting no vol 1,2 or blueprint shit anymore. Niggas want some on the grind gully rap this nigga already relaxing bout to start a fam. If you think jays past few records are wack coo story bruh lol but why would you care unless you were a jay fan. And in the case of being a jay fan listen to his old shit if you wanna hear some classic shit. I swear niggas be on they white plantation owner shit demanding that rappers make specific shit in the field of rap lmaooo.
