Who Dat definitely wasn't made in attempt to chase a hit. In my opinion, he had a couple joints on FNL that could've passed for singles.
When he actually releases his "single," we'll see if you're theory is accurate.

J. Cole is the future of the rap game. Everything he has dropped has been a classic. Last summer he dropped the smash hit "Who Dat" which took the country by storm. He performed it at the BET awards and the crowd went wild. Everyone was in amazement as he finished the song off with a "freestyle" that brought the house down. Then he dropped the other smash record "In the morning" which drove all the bitches i know crazy. He is touring and selling out shows just off being an opening act. He doesnt make microwave music and his fan base is built to last. Cole has the most buzz since Kanye around CD, Wayne around C3, and Drake around TML. The streets are going crazy right now for this kid.
