J. Cole Speaks On Potential Battle With Drake

“From a fan’s point of view, who are you going to get excited about [to] battle? I feel like that’s why people push the J.Cole/Drake thing so much, ’cause I think we’re probably the first two artists that fans are super excited about. The two that they would like to see go at it. I don’t blame ‘em. But it’s just a sign of the times. Rap goes in cycles. I’m not promoting that, but I’m a competitive person in general, so I’m a fan of people throwing jabs and shots. That motivates me.”

Two of my favorite artists right now..i'd actually like to see some collabos before i see a battle..but honestly I think Drake is slightly better lyrically than J.Cole when he wants to be. As far as overall artist, have to hear a couple albums from both before that.

J. Cole battling Drake is not a good move because...

J.Cole has no beef with Drake, and the better lyricist doesn't always win the battle... especially nowadays. Now you can just say, "I have more money than you." and not respond on wax, and dudes will say you won the battle.

So...Battling Drake could end up being career suicide for Cole. They might have the same following and battling Drake might cause him to lose that particular fan base (females and dude who like pop culture).....

Kind of why nobody disses Eminem aka everyone dick-rides Eminem (besides the real dudes of course).... Because they know dude has a huge following, and he'll have your album sales cut in half off of influence alone.

P.S. To me, J. Cole is average at best, and Drake is below average.

Cole needs to go ahead and destroy Drake. It will take his career to another level. I wonder is Jaz would allow that to happen or if it would conflict with his business interest? A collab would only make Cole look weak in my opinion.

I saw J. Cole at my school last night. I was front row. Some nigga asked him about Drake, and then he laughed, looked back at his DJ, and said "Drake!?!?!? WHO DAT??" and then he stated the "who dat" song. I recorded the whole thing if yall want to see it.

But Wayne cant even handle his own beef how he gonna handle Drakes?.... I can see Jae Millz being a threat because that is his ally but Wayne cant stay on Topic long enough to actually get into a Rap "Beef" and win....

sure dude.

Wayne would talk about himself majority of a song and diss Cole with one clever line and that will be enough.

Thats how great Wayne is.

But Drake really dont need Wayne.

Dude can handle the shit by himself if he only had the nuts to diss anyone.
