I get the bad feeling this shit is gonna flop hard. his singles just aren't good music. Due to his track record with his mix tapes though I still believe the album will be dope and at the end of the day that's all that matters. what's it's all about to me b/c i'm a fan. I know Cole himself wants to blow but I just don't see it without a single with some form of success. but it's his 1st attempt. shit reminding me a lot of Wale. Strong backing but label dropping the ball a bit with his release. Drops a decent album but the sales were wack. And Wale just like cole had strong mix tapes, then 2 very lukewarm singles for his debut. Now Wale got his shit together more energy in his music and actually have songs on the charts. He's still not gonna sell a lot of records but he's know by more ppl. I think Cole will end going a similar route, but i think his debut will be better than Attention Deficit was.

I been a HipHop fan since the 90's. And it's easy to tell you no buzz or hit singles you are not going to have success. You can't honesty say the streets are buzzing for J.Cole. It's no hate for fam but usually singles are used to get fans and potential fans excited about the albun.. Still yet to have one single hit.

I watched Wale, Curren$y, Drake, Nicki, and Wiz do exactly what y'all see Cole doing now, so I'm used to seeing the mistake that rappers make on the road to success. The difference is that their struggle wasn't as public J. Cole's is.

best post in this thread. muthafuckas act like life has been so easy for them and without struggle. j. cole's putting in MAD work and not getting any support in regards to promotion and such, just like wale. his issue is making his foibles public and that's why he's getting capped on something vicious on the IC. i wanna see dude succeed too and i know i'm guilty of crackin' my own "cole lost" jokes too but i'm a fan and want to see him blow up. if his album flops he can learn from this experience and move on to greener pastures.
