J.cole or Curren$y?

Currensy reminds me of Ghostface Killah in a lot ways from a lyrical standpoint he say a lot fly shit and got his own style . His music does set a mood unlike any other new nigga even though he not really new he been around since '02. Cole is okay but Currensy is better and like a lot people said has a hustle like no other. Overall musically Currensy is better and lyrically they are closer than people think with the slight edge going to Cole.

I stopped reading when someone said Currensy had charisma.

Nigga's got the flow and voice of a fat kid with bad nasal congestion.

spitt is too unconsistent and struggles writing hooks and cohesive songs

I think Cole may be the better technical rapper ( more in the mold of a NAS ). But Spiita is more fun to listen to more charisma on the mic . Like a cross between a Jay-Z and Devin The Dude

yeah it's kinda like arguing jay and nas. one's more better as a rapper (nas, cole), while the other has more charisma and personality (jay, spitta)

No, just no. If anything, J.Cole is like JayZ in terms of "personality and charisma," and Curren$y has more of a laid back style like a Nas or more so the dipset version of Cam.

Spitta is way better IMO

Cosign. J.Cole is very average. Out of the countless songs he's dropped I only feel like 3 of them. Curren$y on the other hand drops fire 75% of the time.

No shade to J. Cole, but im rollin w/ spitta. Both pilot talk albums bump. the winners circle tape was nice too. muscle car chronicles in like 4 days. and the nigga was a few songs into pilot talk 3 (according to an interview w/ complex mag.) his music grind is pretty admirable man.

i'm fucking with that toysldrs ya'll got some fly shit

the big ass bud in my avi should let you know who I'm rolling with. I don't know why some of you won't keep it real with yourselves, yeah you might like J.Cole but what where is he better? He doesn't work harder than Spitta, he doesn't talk about more shit than Spitta (if you say otherwise then your sleeping), his productions not better, his flows not better, the only thing I can honestly say J.Cole is better at is delivery on the mic other than that he's not fucking with Spitta.

J. Cole got more depth than Currensy, easily. Out of all the freshman, J.Cole the one with the most diverse subject matter.

also, cole produces his own shit.

his beats are ok, and he still gets outshined on them

and what is j.cole really talking about? who is he trying to cater to?

If i wanted to hear a dope mc rap with a speaech impediment i would listen to Mega, G Rap, or AZ, Currensy has no appeal to me and that's why Wayne is where he is and Spitta is where he is as far as commercial success.

Currensy is the epitome of basic to me, he doesn't say anything clever or thought provoking. Then again, i'm not a pothead so i don't find neither him nor Wiz appealing at all. Skillwise Currensy is equivalent to Snoop today

I feel like Currne$y relies on dope production whereas J. Cole would could make a weak track sound better just by spitting on it.

basically.

Hov needs to finance some Yeezy beats for Cole to fux with for the album.

You know dude ain't blowing his budget for Kanye beats, and i'm sure Kanye would rather focus on his own artist. Plus NO ID, Danjahandz, and Jim Jonsin are featured producers on the album, which are than likely the singles.

Cole just needs to get more consistent production wise, he is one of those artists who needs for his production to be catchy to make up for his lack of charisma or subject matter.
